Apple is giving a new twist to its flagship smartphone line: The company unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone model.
The company’s iPhone Duo foldable has an internal screen panel (plus one on the front of the device) that provides the largest, most immersive screen size ever at 7.6 inches diagonally — and it’s also the thinnest iPhone ever, according to Apple. The company also announced the single-screen iPhone 18 baseline model and Pro 18 and Pro Max 18 versions, as well as AirPods 5 and other new products.
The iPhone Duo is priced starting at $1,999, with storage options ranging from 256 gigabytes to 2 terabytes. Preorders start Oct. 16 and the device will begin shipping Oct. 23. It’s available in two colors, dubbed “star white” and “night sky.”

Looks pretty cool but with every new gadget, it will take time to adjust. May look into getting it in a year or 2 after devs catch up and glitches get worked out.

i just upgraded my phone to the 17 pro and my wifes to the 17 pro max so we won't have to upgrade for a while because the prices on all phones are going up.

I don't understand the purpose of it. It's not big enough to be better viewing than a standard iPhone and it's oddly shaped to hold up to your ear.

I would be worried about the folding mechanism holding up to even normal use. Probably best to get Apple Care with this phone.

I know a person who has had a foldable samsung for about 3 years. He loves it because it can go in a pocket.
