The Phils were playing poorly in 2022 AND 2023 entering the playoffs. They nearly blew a Wild Card spot in 2022.

More people died in WW2 obviously. Because there were so many massive theaters, it was the most deadly.

But I’ll contend that WW1 would have been the worst war to be apart of. Highly recommend Dan Carlin’s hardcore history on WW1. It was chilling. What Germany artillery did to Belgium in particular is hard to fathom, for one example.

Can confirm. Places I’ve been to games:

OU, Auburn, Arkansas, Cotton Bowl, TCU.

They all sucked to get out of; especially the bigger venues.

That fateful 2025 loss legitimately was the best thing that could have ever happened to this program and helped get everything in motion.
