I have to do this. Time is running out. I don’t want to be 80 and regret it.

Where in the world is….

You can do it (depending on how much you can spend) three different ways.

I’ll only do it with Mrs Füt in the fancy version where you have a service shuttle your luggage from hotel to hotel and your dinners are planned out in advance.

I’d do it rough if I was walking it alone. Backpack all my shite and start early and get a bunch of miles in daily. I’d be done before the devil knew I started.

Lotsa public urination along the route reportedly.

I walked it about 10 years ago on the Camino Frances. A family member and I started in St Jean and walked all the way to Santiago in about a month. We backpacked the whole way, stayed in albergues, and did pilgrims meals most of the time. If you’re able (both financially and able to dedicate the time) I’d highly recommend it. It’s mentally tough at times but so rewarding.

I wish I’d been able to do it when my knees were in better shape.

Think that window may have passed for me.

I know someone who has done it and she's convinced me that there are more pleasant things to do.

I do not have purple or green hair.

Ends in Santiago de Componstela Spain. There are a dozen or more walks all ending in the same place, like the hub on a wagon wheel.

I walked the Portuguese Camino from Porto to Santiago. 170 or so miles. Great time.

Pack super light and just walk everyday. Good cheap food and beer. Meet some cool people from all over the world.

Yes. In 2012. It was awesome. I’m a Christian.

From southern France across Spain to Santiago. Would do again.

I was in Pamplona and met some Irish and Australian people doing it. I found it a little weird that they were drunk as frick while in the midst of a religious pilgrimage.

Go watch the YouTube channel Poppy’s Path. He just finished about a month ago. I always thought I wanted to do this until I watched his series. Honestly, it really doesn’t look that picturesque and seems to be miles and miles of mostly flat, boring walking. Unless you’re into the religious aspect of it, I just don’t see it as rewarding enough to justify the time and effort.

Look into the Tour de Mont Blanc as an alternative challenge.
