The Southeastern Conference released a brief statement Thursday following a meeting of the league's presidents and chancellors amid the ongoing dispute involving LSU.
According to the SEC, the meeting was held by videoconference to discuss "recent matters involving conference expectations and responsibilities."
"Those discussions will continue as the conference and its member universities work toward an appropriate resolution," the SEC said.
The statement comes as tensions between LSU and the conference have started to cool following several days of legal threats and public back-and-forth between the two sides.
