The frick they don't. Replaced the halogen lights in my 4Runner with LEDs and it's a huge difference.

The slightest bump in the road makes it look like they are flashing their lights at you. I hate it.

What?
Also to make the truck look better and allow bigger tires. Wtf are you talking about

My favorote part of the LED's is showing people the power of the sun when they flash me thinking my brights are on.
The worst thing about LEDs is the amount of idiots that slow down because they are getting blinded only to get closer to the light...
Same people that think flashers in the rain and stopping for turns make them better drivers.

a) my new car has the LEDs. they are aimed correctly but there is a definite line between light and pitch black darkness that is annoying. i can't see far enough in front for my comfort on dark, 2 lane roads. I'd never see a deer in time. ergo, that's why I think people drive with brights on all the time. (that and the auto bright feature which can be turned off but most people are too stupid / lazy to figure out how)
b) what's the deal with these new trucks that have 3 levels of lights on them?
is that high beams? or normal? whatever it is, I always flash them.

The new GMC trucks should be illegal. The front of those things looks like the chopper they tried to communicate to the aliens with in Independence Day.

I’ve noticed a shocking number of people lately who are, in fact, doing exactly this. Don’t get me wrong, cold white LEDs and misaligned headlights are a problem. But a ton of folks actually just have their brights on.
I don’t know if it’s auto-dimming headlights, or people who have a low-beam bulb burned out, or general stupidity (probably a combination of all three) but it’s rampant.
I tell you one thing, I'm a bad offender at this.
I miss the old foot button my first truck had. And that's probably related by the way, people messing with phones and their hands are busy. That phone takes priority over personal safety, doing your job, or even family so it stands to reason when faced with a choice to use your hands to dim your lights and finish a text the phone wins.

Is it the LEDs, or xenon headlights?

Some a-hole did this to me once and I just held my spot. Our mirrors smacked because we were so close. Mine folded in a little and right back out, and I could tell the other vehicle's mirror shattered. Not my problem, I kept on rolling.
I really can't see anything when those bright lights are shining in my eyes, and that's dangerous on the country roads I drive on.
More than a few times after I've passed a car with obnoxiously bright lights, once I can see the road again I realize I'm way out of my lane.
I'm not running off the shoulder because someone's headlights are too bright.

Billy badass telling a story about near head on death.
You don't have much of a choice on a narrow road, but to just aim straight with the road and hold position as best you can. On one hand you know you've got a dumbass headed your way, on the other hand you have to hope he's got enough sense to at least avoid a head on collision since he's the only one who can see.

A lot of them are people who have converted to LEDs in housings that weren't made for them (wider dispersion) or they aren't leveling them. Also...I hate the ones that run the super high color temp. I hate those that run super bright white.

Another issue is the auto bright feature in cars that automatically brighten and dim the lights. Of course they don’t work well and people are too dumb to turn them off.

I was going to come here and start a thread saying people driving with their bright lights on need to be punched lol. It is rainy foggy where I am and idiots have on their bright lights on

so it's safe to say that you failed to adjust your lights and that you are either an a-hole or a dumbass. Maybe both.

Cop cars are the worst.
Went to go eat out at a restaurant the other day and there was a cop car and an ambulance parked outside. I never realised how bright they were until then.

It’s awful and it’s even worse when it’s raining. When I’m driving at night and it’s raining, I’m pretty much guessing.

The thing I don’t understand is why people use their brights so much in the city to begin with. I get it if you’re out in the country on two lane roads with no shoulder or street lights. But I constantly see it in very well-lit areas. Or this time of year, at dusk when it’s not even dark outside.
I feel like driving around with your brights on, in a city neighborhood with a 25mph speed limit and street lights everywhere, is kind of a dick move regardless of whether a car is in front of you. I turned auto-dimming off in my vehicle partially because it doesn’t respond fast enough to oncoming traffic, but also partially because I very rarely need my high-beams driving around Baton Rouge in the first place.
I just drove home at 5:30 and passed no fewer than 5 cars with their brights on. Not auto-dimming, not aftermarket or bright white LED headlights, not jacked up trucks. Just regular arse cars, mostly with halogen lights, driving with their brights on when it wasn’t even fricking dark outside yet.
