Also you need to stop and purchase a parking pass either from the designated kiosks or at any of the visitor centers. You can purchase daily weekly or annual passes. If you have a handicapped tag or disabled veteran you do not need to purchase the parking pass.

Did GTNP 3 days and Yellowstone 1 day we went from Thursday after Labor Day to Wednesday stayed in Teton Village. Fri/Sat/Sun we were able to go just about anywhere without and issues but on Monday 9/14 it was very busy. Jenny Lake trails like Inspiration Point were extremely busy compared to Saturday where you could park anywhere. We clearly hit the right time to be there. We fished Snake River and Flatt Creek in Elk Refuge too a couple of different days. We were able see all the tourist stuff and when we go back can focus getting out on more trails weather was perfect. Saw bison elk moose lots of birds from swans, ravens eagles lots of migratory birds moving through too. Love Grand Tetons and though Jackson was a great place to stay for being a first visit.

American Foul Brood or AFB is why they are burning the hives. Same would happen in TN where I keep bees and you can be fined for not reporting you have confirmed AFB in your hives. Bees forage up to 3 miles from their hives so it can spread quickly. Australia did something dumber when they started burning hives infected with varroa mites. After killing hundreds of thousands bees realized that was not going to prevent the mites from infecting colonies. We treat for mites in US.

Many fosters cannot afford to do the vet bills and foster so offer them something. Be nice to the cat it was your moms for 17 years. If you cannot give it a home at least see if someone else can. And I have been through this my mom died on New Years Day this year and I was fully prepared to take her dog because it was the right thing to do. My niece took the her cranky outside cat and made him a indoor cat. The pheromone collars help a lot. Good luck
