We are going next week. Can't wait.
Also, I actually do ranch work in my boots so I think that kinda makes me a cowboy.

I'm 48 and just got my first summons a few months ago. I went and never even got in the pool to be eliminated. There were like 120 of us there and they only needed 115 and had a lottery.

Went to go eat out at a restaurant the other day and there was a cop car and an ambulance parked outside. I never realised how bright they were until then.
re: Fellow divorcees...did you know that your marriage was over, or were you blindsided?

Was married for just under 15 years. Been divorced for almost a year. Her choice not mine. We have two kids together. Still talk and text everyday and help each other care for our children. We are now just friends and probably better off for everyone. There was no cheating or domestic violence. I think we just stopped connecting. We tried to work it out, but it didn't take. We both have keys to each others houses and help each other out if one of us needs something. It's kinda a weird and one off situation.

It wasn't HISD unless the same thing happened in adjacent school districts.

This elementary school is right by my house. It has a lot of things going on in the last week of school. Off campus domestic violence against a teacher and threats from the guy who did it. They closed down all the schools in the area for a few days until they caught the guy. Another teacher was found dead off campus as well. That story is still developing. Then now this teacher filming her self at the school. Good lord.

I'm 47. I sprained my wrist this weekend by sleeping on it wrong.

I read and highlighted a ton of points to study on 90% of the books I bought.
My younger brother passed away 9 years ago from CF. He was 36. It was a tough decision to basically pull the plug, but myself and my parents decided it was time to end his suffering.
You have my condolences.

This use to happen to me every night. Worrying about something I may have forgotten to do or something coming up the next day.
Moved to a much less stressful department within the same company. Doesn't happen anymore. Well, rarely.

68 during the day. 65 or 66 at night. Today it's at 70 though since I got sick.

I thought they were always that much.
Son just finished selling popcorn for scouts. So expensive, but most people don't care because it's for a good cause. Most actually don't want the popcorn and just donate some cash.

I only go into the office once a month.
If it's my day with the kids I usually just take the day off. Too much of a distraction for me and they end up getting too much screen time and eventually get super board. Especially on days like today when it's too cold to go play outside.

Working from home today.

My dad pretty much gave up hunting after high school. Just wasn't a big deal to him. He's now 76 and for the last 10 years he's really gotten into hog hunting. Kills one almost every night. Been trying to get a coyote, but hasn't had any luck yet. Still not a deer hunter. Leaves that up to me and my son. There's no telling how much he's spent on guns, ammo, and equipment.
