I love my 40V Ryobi weed trimmer. I'll never go back to gas.

Have a kobalt push mower, works good. And black and decker weed eater, spare battery is good to have. They’re pretty powerful.

I got a dewalt, it will run on my 20v batteries but also takes higher voltage batteries for more power.

I have the ego multihead setup that i use a string trimmer and the edger on and it works fantastic. Also have one of their blowers and as of this year have their newest mower. Cant's say enough about their products. The mower mulches even better than the gas push mower I replaced it with

I have the edger , weed eater and blower. Does the lawn mower self propel like a gas. I don’t have a big yard so I was looking at the mower.

The EGO 56v is the best electric weed eater you can buy.

I bought the EGO snowblower here in Colorado this winter and it is as good or better than gas powered. Glad to hear the weed eater is good too. I have been looking at it and the blowersince I already have the battery system.

I don’t think I could ever go with battery powered lawn equipment. Just bought a new Honda lawnmower this spring. I will only use ethanol free fuel on that and my old school edger. I have an Echo weed eater and an Echo blower that I use the Echo Red Armor pre mixed fuel.

Wife bought a Ryobi 40v because she didn’t like how heavy our 6 year old Stihl 56 gas is.

Screw that limpdick little green POS. It takes 3 times as long to weedeat the yard and uses multiple batteries. With Stihl I can be done in the same amount of time as the first battery wears out on that crap. My yard takes at least 2 batteries although I never made it through a full lawn day with that thing before I retired it. It now hangs in the garage as a momento of a big ole can of ShitNo.

I’ve had the Worx brand from Home Depot for several years. 18 or 20v, can’t remember. Works great for smallish yards. Head rotates to edge as well.

I have had a Kobalt weed eater for a few years and im happy with it. If you get one make sure to not charge the battery full after every use and do not leave it in a hot or cold place.

Our neighbor just bought one a few weeks ago and it is extremely quiet. Seems to do the job because his lawn looks pretty damn good

Remember the FIVE YEAR, over the counter Lowes warranty...it's a GREAT trimmer....F ALL the 2 cycle pieces of crap out there. As further improvements are made I hope ALL the 2 cycles go away....next, all the crappy 4 cycle mowers

I have the Milwaukee M18 trimmer with the interchangeable heads. I love it. Plenty of power and it gets great run times with a 9 or 12ah battery. I can do our whole place and still have 2 to 3 bars left on the battery.

I bought a Black and Decker electric for about $60 at Lowe’s. Five years later and that thing still works great. I have a long extension cord and enough outlets to where it’s not an issue.

It’s been well worth the money, and I’m glad I didn’t buy the more expensive gas trimmers.

Electric battery trimmers have been around for ages"
The OP is referring to cordless(baterry operated) weed eaters -they have not been around for ages.

I have a similar set up and I do not think I could go to electric either. I feel like some people that say gas is a hassle are comparing their electric purchase to poor quality gas equipment.

My mom bought an 80V Kobalt string trimmer and its pretty nice, but the head rotated the opposite way of my Echo. It was screwing with my head.

I switched to an electric chainsaw and it's great. You have to get at least 40w though.
