I mentioned this before when everyone was lecturing millennials. Its the old fricks and gen zers that wont stay put. You cant tell old people what to do, they are the most stubborn.

I’ve been to Lowe’s 5x this week.
It’s boomer central. The parking lot has been packed every time. It’s alarming
I think everyone is passing time by doing house work

Went to walk nine yesterday before work. Sure enough on the tee box of the other 18 is a five-some of retirees just slapping each others hands and riding in carts together.
Funny, my dad and I played 18 yesterday. We didn’t keep our distance from each other. He is 70. He’s not super concerned.
With that said, there was a five-some that teed off behind us. I can’t imagine anybody in the group under 75. I noticed the same thing: giving fives, ladies with a seltzer, a cigar puffed on by the men.

I played 18 yesterday morning. If I had to guess, the average age of everyone else out there was 60.
After finishing up I was wiping my hands down with alcoholic wipes and offered some to the group of four older gentleman who had just finished before us. When I did, they laughed at me and said " Nah, we don't need any. No corona here."

Parking lot was jam packed, and at least 75% of the patrons were...old people.
I’ve begged my mother (73) to stay in, and my wife has begged her father. They just...won’t...do it
Old people understand freedom and can make their own decisions: if they go out against recommendation and die anyway they made their choice

It’s maddening that all of these measures are being taken to protect them, and they seem to just ignore them.
A lot of these measures are stupid and nothing more than a reason to grandstand or Or campaign or power grab by politicians.
The government cannot dictate your life or the lives of others.
If you’re sick or elderly or immunocompromised stay home. You know the risks. If you choose not too then you made your choice and you live with the consequences. The government shouldn’t regulate that choice away.

True. I'm working clinic today. 90% of patients are 70+ here for joint pain, some that has been going on for several weeks/months. They either do not understand the gravity of the situation or simply do not care.

Noticed this at work. Over 60 crowd grabbing doorknobs, shaking hands, getting in your face to talk, etc. Everyone else is waking around like a character from Outbreak.

My grandmother is likely the same way. I'm pretty sure she believes stepping outside will kill her instantly.

It's their choice if they want to risk death, but the idea that we are sacrificing our economy and sanity while these boomers just live life like nothing is happening really, really, bothers me.
They likely don't care because if they don't get the virus, their retirement is being completely destroyed because of this quarantine. So survive and be broke, or just live your life.

Most do not understand and those that do understand it do not care.

Every place of business that’s open is full of old fricks and I’m stuck home because of them
You're stuck at home cause you're a big baby or it's what to your wife told you to do.
And in public, folks just naturally keep a fair distance from you for some reason... Strange.

thats cool and all but their decisions could greatly affect my life right now
they keep going out and getting sick and dying we will continue to see these restrictions and probably more
your freedom only extends far enough to where it doesn't affect mine
