I just made a run to pick up some takeout lunch and stop at my local convenience store. Parking lot was jam packed, and at least 75% of the patrons were...old people.

I’ve begged my mother (73) to stay in, and my wife has begged her father. They just...won’t...do it. It’s maddening that all of these measures are being taken to protect them, and they seem to just ignore them.

Wait until you have only a few years left on earth and see if you give a frick what people tell you to do.

This is why the "quarantine the olds and let us live" would result in a frick load of people dying. They don't give a frick.

Yep. I’ve made the same observations. Most of the people I see out and about are older.

Went to walk nine yesterday before work. Sure enough on the tee box of the other 18 is a five-some of retirees just slapping each others hands and riding in carts together.

It's their choice if they want to risk death, but the idea that we are sacrificing our economy and sanity while these boomers just live life like nothing is happening really, really, bothers me.

A couple of months ago my mentally ill father's increase in agoraphobic behavior had me really concerned. He refused to drive at all or leave the house unless I was dragging him to a doctor's appointment.

Now...it's likely for his own good.

Because they’re old. They’ve lived their life. Some old people have been through some very scary events. We will probably be the same way one day.

Bet they’d all give a shite if they started getting symptoms. Then they will give a shite enough to want a test and proper healthcare. It’s easy to not give a shite when you’re inconvenienced but not as easy to not give a shite when you are staring death in the face.

I’ve been saying that. Every place of business that’s open is full of old fricks and I’m stuck home because of them

My dad is probably high risk for dying from it and DGAF. He isn't hiding from some bullshite just because there is a small chance he could die on the small chance he actually gets it.

Can bitch about Baby Boomers, but they aren't being Karen's and crying about social distancing. It's as if the younger generation is trying to be a nanny and protect the older one's who dgaf.

I didn’t want to hug my dad. He said he was going to die of something anyway. Yeah, I hugged him.

It seems that 'they' are in agreement with this.

I shopped in the local grocery to pick up a few items. My wife and children fussed at me for going. While in there I ran into my wife's mother and father. I am 66. They are 86 and 81. But that was a week ago. I just wanted to get another couple weeks supplies before the virus really gets to where we are.Hunkered down now, I will let someone younger get any smaller items like bread when we need some.
