Sir, this is a Disney thread, not a Catholic church or Subway spokesman ad.

IMHO-A lot of people just like routine and familiarity. Whatever destination it is. It’s like a familiar reward they give themselves. It soothes them to go back and relax in a place they know. They don’t want to have to think or have any unexpected challenges.

I wouldn’t want to do that without kids but if it makes them happy so be it. I know people who hate the beach but they are usually hairy or fat or pale. Some people hate sports or music. Everyone is different. I think hunting and travel baseball is a waste of time but others can’t live without it.

I do wonder, and I'm sure it's been covered here before, is it even possible to avoid doing business with woke companies in this day and age? I think the Bud Light boycott only got the traction it did because BL is kinda shitty and there are a multitude of alternatives that are actually superior products anyway. I went through that phase awhile back where I was going to stop doing any business with companies that I disagreed with and quickly found out I don't agree with 90+ percent of em

No it’s impossible. If I boycotted every company I didn’t agree with I’d be wearing clothes from the my pillow guy and eating goya beans for every meal. So long as a company isn’t shoving their beliefs down my throat or what not I really don’t care what they believe. The only one I really try to avoid is anything Disney related.

We only have one life to live. If that is what makes them truly happy, who are you to care?

Is it strange? Probably.

Does it affect you personally? If they talk about it nonstop and it affects your work, then yes. If mentioned in passing, obviously no.

I just can’t comprehend how someone is willing to spend that much money on an overpriced, overcrowded theme park meant for children. Add in all their woke nonsense too. Is this some kind of mental disorder needing to be diagnosed?
Why does it matter to you at all? Some are oddly obsessed with complaining about Disney. If it is not for you, ignore it. Does not affect you at all. I am sure you do things others think are weird or ridiculous.

Some people love it. I really enjoyed taking my kids to Disney but there are other places I'd much rather go. The people who go multiple times/year are probably buying an annual pass and see it as a way to get the most out of their money. If you're driving and not buying park tickets, it can be a cheap long weekend trip. There are pletnty of cheap rentals/vrbo's in the area and parking at the parks is free w/ the annual pass.

Remember Disney employees walked out over teachers not being able to have private sex time with 5 year olds.

You know exactly what adults at Disney are going for. We all do. Let us be clear.

I don’t care what other people do on their vacations, I let everyone be and TRY not to judge. Personally, I could never do it. My son is 10 and is over Disney. He’d rather go to a tropical island or snowboarding. Universal Studios is his choice if he’s feeling a theme park. But he typically likes nature related vacations as do my wife and I. I don’t get the desire to spend that much money and time at Disney, but I don’t care what others do that doesn’t affect me.
