Why do you care?

Because it’s fricking weird.

I know a chick like this that leaves her husband with the kids and dips out to Disney for a “marathon run” about 4 times a year.

An adult who goes more than once as an adult is a glutton for punishment. Happiest place on earth my arse...kids crying from the time they get in the car until they get home...if they sold alcohol at a reasonable price the murder rate would be higher in the Magic Kingdom than any inner city neighborhood or war-torn area on the planet. A smart divorce lawyer could make a mint setting up shop right at the exit....

I have no issue with this (I think its weird, but ok), however, I don't want to hear any crying about not having money to retire and thinking the govt needs to take more money from ppl like me to pay for them. Stupid games, stupid prizes

We have this guy at work who's like 80 years old and goes at least 4 times a year. He'll of course take his kids and grandkids though.

I don't understand it because Disney World is the shittiest place on earth, but that's what he likes and if he likes it, then power to him.

If you like theme parks, in other words you have some screws lose, six flags is infinitely more enjoyable than Disney. Luckily my lovely bride is capable of coping with it and will take the grand kids while I lay up and drink or go fishing...and soothe all the sore asses when they get home...cause there are 2 constants at Disney...empty wallets and sore assess.

I was there in Dec and found the restaurant situation in the parks to be severely lacking.

I went to Disney World once about 12 years ago. I really enjoyed my time checking out epcot and riding some rides throughout the other parks. I won't go back because of the woke stuff but it was fun when I went awhile back.

Epcot is tolerable. They have a beer garden.

There are better drinks and better places to drink in Animal Kingdom.

Everyone's hobbies seem odd to people who don't enjoy them.

Duck hunting? frick getting up at the arse crack of dawn, freezing your arse off in a blind for maybe - MAYBE - a chance to kill a duck if everything goes right. I mean planetary conjuction kind of right, but without the predictability. And I'm not an animal rights guy - I'm happy to kill a couple of ducks after the shite they've put me through. They've got it coming. But frick all that. It's cold outside, and usually cold INSIDE the camp too. However, wood duck and sausage gumbo is delicious.

Deer hunting? At least I'm usually dry and relatively warm in a box blind. But I don't get many Utils of Value by ambushing Bambi in front of the feeder he's been eating at for months. It's like shooting your neighbor's dog. Except more delicious.

fricking golf!?! I'll pass. I have enough pretentious assholes in my life already. If it's a nice day, I can just ride around in a golf cart and drink beer. No swinging of clubs and searching for lost balls involved.

The list goes on, including the Disney affectionados of the world. It's not for me, but if you enjoy it, more power to you. I've seen many people return from hunting, fishing, golfing, and even some from Disney. Usually, they seem happy.

Why do you care how other people choose to spend their vacations?

To each their own. What do you spend money on? I’m fairly sure there are people that can’t comprehend why you spend money on whatever that may be….

Not sure why this type of thing is any of your concern.

I don’t hunt. Wasn’t raised around it and I have absolutely ZERO interest in it. For the life of me, I can’t comprehend why people go out in the marsh in the middle of winter, the wind blowing 30MPH with a 25° wind chill to sit in a wet, muddy blind to shoot some birds. Just not my thing. But it doesn’t bother me that pretty much 80% of Louisiana goes duck hunting.

There might be a slight difference for things people do to go after children. Or support doing with their dollars.

I go about once a year and own a DVC contract. But also take another vacation to somewhere else in the country every year. I always say Disney is what you make of it. If you go and you're just fighting crowds the whole time, waking up at the arse crack of dawn and staying in a park until it closes, trying to get everything done, etc etc, it won't be that enjoyable.

I go to the local pub regularly. I enjoy doing that. They enjoy going to disney. Who gives a shite what others enjoy doing if it's not causing harm to anyone. Looks like you are the one with the problem.
