The only caveat is that traditionally off roading is an adult activity by adults tailored to adults. Disney, although perhaps changing, has always focused on entertainment that is traditionally in subjects interesting to children. Sure, Harry Potter developed a weird adult following, but it's a YA thing.

Disney parks cater to both kid and adult though, lots of restaurants/bars/etc specifically catering to just adults. Hell Disney himself even made sure to cater to the obsessed adult fan with his private club in Disneyland. It’s always been that way.

I know a few adults with no kids who go a couple times a year. Some even have the annual pass, which has gotten crazy expensive. I’m in Orlando so maybe bc it’s close they do it? Idk. Some just have a fascination with Disney and theme parks it seems like. I’ll go to IOA maybe once every two years. That’s enough for me.

I do Disney about every 4 or so years. The kids like the place.

Disney is not marketed towards kids only. In fact, if you want to go with your wife for an adult trip, it can be a blast. Walk around and sample different foods and beers or cocktails. Try a different restaurant in a different park each night. Ride a rollercoaster together and laugh and have fun.

Good post. Folks who say DW is only catered to kids haven't been to DW. And I say this as someone who has no interest in returning since the woke nonsense became so forefront.

There's a ton to do that isn't for kids at all.

One, why do you care? Two, if co worker goes that much every year, most likely a Disney pass holder or something similar so it actually does not cost her that much. It is her time and money and that is something she enjoys doing. I have no issue with anyone who wants to spend money on something they as long as it is legal and not harming anyone.

I'll never understand these threads. Yes, there are some weird people literally obsessed with Disney. But for the most part, Disney World is a pretty fun place. There are some annoying things about it, but all in all it's a pretty good time doing some pretty fun shite.

So even though I kinda understand to a degree, hating on people that want to go there just seems weird to me. If you're willing to spend your money on it to have a good time, more power to you.

For some reason people think Disney is only made for kids, and that's just not correct, especially for the theme parks.

I am taking the wife and son for the first time in a few weeks to Disney and Universal. I won’t go back to Orlando probably until a year after the new Universal Epic Universe opens in 2025.

I do wonder, and I'm sure it's been covered here before, is it even possible to avoid doing business with woke companies in this day and age? I think the Bud Light boycott only got the traction it did because BL is kinda shitty and there are a multitude of alternatives that are actually superior products anyway.

I went through that phase awhile back where I was going to stop doing any business with companies that I disagreed with and quickly found out I don't agree with 90+ percent of em.

People love to talk about the world going to shite, but then prove over and over and over again their demand for reasons the world is going to shite outpaces its supply, so then they find shite like this to spend their time worrying about.

If America was truly in a situation as dire as many claim, how folks spend 3-4 vacations a year would be the least of our concerns.

I just can’t comprehend how someone is willing to spend that much money on an overpriced, overcrowded theme park meant for children. Add in all their woke nonsense too. Is this some kind of mental disorder needing to be diagnosed?

I have kind of outgrown Disney but I also DGAF what people choose to spend their money on.

I don't understand why people spend shite tons of money hunting and fishing. Seems boring AF to me, but I don't start threads about it because it's their money and they can do whatever they enjoy with it.

The wife and I leave the kiddo at home once a year to go to the Food and Wine Festival.

We stay at the Yacht Club, walk to EPCOT, eat and drink, watch live music, stumble back to the room, frick like rabbits, shower, sleep and do it all over again.

Not as bad as all the idiots who spend thousands on plane tickets and hotels to go see Paris when you can see the whole world and get the same experience at EPCOT. Joke’s on you sucker.

Epcot was somewhat fun as an adult, albeit extremely overpriced. I could get the same experience at a beer festival for much less $$. Considering that and the woke groomer shite, won’t be going back anytime soon, and will likely avoid taking any of my future kids there.
