LSU wants this storied buried. The media wants this story buried because the races involved don’t feed their propaganda. Liberals ignore the common denominator and chalk it up as a “robbery gone bad”.
In the first 48-72 hrs which got more press coverage in the BR or regional press:
A) Koy Moore "harassment"
B) Allison Rice
If it's (A), then there is a real issue and, to me, a clear indicator that the press is agenda driven. And that agenda is not that of being the 4th estate.

You're just skirting my point that this is a perfect example of why we generally must defend 2A.
I mean we're not really disagreeing on anything lol. It's all good.
It's all good. But for the record I am not skirting 2A rights. Like I said, start another thread and I'll be in there agreeing. Hell I might even make some alter accounts just so I can give you more upvotes.

Then they'll be forced to stop reporting on crime in general- because violence has reached the LSU campus itself.
I love LSU, make no mistake. But if LSU's administration ISN'T forcefully discussing this with the city of BR- shame on them. Because there is no way in hell they won't be hurt by wanton savagery happening both at their doorstep- and inside the door itself.
The time for a crackdown has been here- and no one should give a damn if some don't like it. Stop wasting resources and fight this before this town dies on the vine.
What do I want to see? I want city officials who will LISTEN to the concerns of their officers on the street. I want less political correctness- and more results.
I want the court system in BR (judges) to stop giving the benefit of the doubt to CRIMINALS and setting them free to continue preying on society ('go and do good things'

If this case turns out to be yet another little bastard with a lengthy record who was 'given another chance' again and again, there should be hell to pay.

Has anyone talked about how on the audio clip you can hear what sounds like dude’s yelling something like “get out of the car!” And I assume when she did not, and went to reverse, they started shooting.
Def sounds like they attempted to carjack/rob her and knew they could because of the train.

I believe you must be talking about the Posey girls in the late 80's/early90's that happened to?

Having a gun wouldn’t have necessarily saved her but having it and being able to take shots at the hood rats would have raised her chances of them taking cover and giving her more time to escape.
What’s that quote from The Godfather, “I find a gun and a kind word goes a lot further than just a kind word”?

Yet ANOTHER thread where a sociopath Progressive jumps in to take over and make themselves and their ideology the center of attention.
Quit replying to this idiot. This feeds his sick ego. He has openly supported every politician and decision that led to this lawlessness. Now he is here to defend it and mock anyone that dares to point out the truth.
That is what these mentally ill Progs do. Don't let him ruin this thread too, please.

I agree with your premise, but LAW-ABIDING citizens want at least a CHANCE. Being armed gives me a feeling that I at least have a chance.

She couldn't even use her SUV as a defensive weapon because of how she was boxed in.
I too think this is what she ultimately tried to do, and that's why there were so many shots. The thugs were scared to get run over so they killed her.
Either way, there is a reason that our current POTUS wants us unarmed. If Progressives got their way, I can promise you they won't go to to the hood to get the guns. They are going to come after you and me first, then allow their foot soldiers to terrorize us to no end.

I went to lsu when there was a serial killer on the prowl. In tigerland there were armed robberies regularly. It didn’t plummet at all. This isn’t an lsu thing. It’s just not.

No one cares when a thug kills a thug. 90 percent of the time, murders in the hood are just retaliation for some other crime. Play the game...
People care when innocents are drug into this worthless culture's game.
All lives are not equal and not every homicide is worthy of the same coverage.
Convicted felon murdered. Who GAF? College student on the way home? Yeah, I care.

for an off campus murder at 2am near the hood? those parents are morons if this is the final straw. I really don't know why her being an LSU student matters...if she was a BRCC student would they still send their kids to LSU?

Mine is a touch older than Allie. You baws are talking aboot how it sucks to not be able to send them to LSU. Mine just graduated as a Gator.
You could have saved her life getting her outta BR and into Gainesville. shite, I'd be able to stomach my kids going to Bama if it keeps them out of this shithole.

The data shows that the murder rate in and around LSU is 4x higher than the second place finisher among SEC west schools, and 8-10x more frequent than any of the rest. So no, murder doesn’t just happen around LSU. But it sure happens a lot more frequently. Baton Rouge is consistently in the top 10 nation wide for murder rate; along such idylic hamlets as St. Louis, Baltimore, Memphis, and Detroit.

This is a lie.
I was there during that same time frame with DTL the serial killer. Parents were yanking their daughters out of LSU faster than the administration could keep track of.

No they weren't.
Campus was still just as crowded as it ever was.
Girls moved in bigger groups though, and increased their awareness.

At the time LSU had 30,000 students. You think a crowded campus means people weren’t leaving LSU? I personally know dozens of girls that left and I’m just one kid that didn’t know many people at the time.
You’ve showed your lack of intelligence in this thread so this will be my last reply to you. You need to seek help or therapy and crawl back to your liberal, uninformed echo chamber.

The business owners in the Mid City area MUST band together and put pressure on the administration to crack down on crime and to solve this murder ASAP.
A whole lot of money and marketing went in to the "revitalization" effort to create a feeling of safety in this area. Once that veneer is completely ripped off, those businesses will absolutely be sunk.
Who will want to invest in Baton Rouge if we allow our criminal element to run rampant? That question goes directly to you, Ms Mayor President of East Baton Rouge Parish.

forgot the specifics but when i was at LSU, a young female student was murdered with a knife to the chest in the parking lot of the Bengal off Nicholson. I believe she was with her twin sis when a thug approach them while going to their car and killed her.
If this was late 80’s, her name was Donna and I was dating her a little. He approached her and demanded money. She pulled out her wallet and only had $2 in it. He got pissed, said something then stabbed her.
Complete trash with no regard for life. Now you have a ton more out there with this mentality. Sickening to know that.
