If the teachers were at risk or elderly, I can understand.

Otherwise, get back to work.

Ok, scared shitless is a just a tad bit over the top. If anybody is scared shitless, you have bigger problems than Covid 19. You need to go see a psychiatrist and get on something to help you with that.

Why would you be scared shitless of a virus that doesn't affect 99% of the population?

Holy shite, you think fricking school teachers get together and plan to turn your kids communists?

Man I had a few liberal teachers, but think of all the old arse women, lazy gym teachers, and relatively normal people who were teaching when you were in school.

What the hell do you think goes on in a lounge? The bilderberg meetings?

That’s funny as shite!

People on here can act like their brainwashed sometimes.... ironically enough.

I pointed out how school is essential to our lower income community and especially how it is a safe haven for children in neglectful or abusive households. And you wouldn’t believe the way some turd lashed out at me about school staff “risking death”.

It blows my mind that someone can scream about teachers risking their lives, but hasn’t uttered a damn word about grocery store employees or the myriad of other people still working.

How can you claim to care so much about your schoolchildren as a teacher when you’re fighting to have them completely dismissed and sent home to shite situations?

Yea, I'm not sure where this Marxist movement revival stuff is coming from. First BLM is Marxist, and now our public school K-12 teachers are Marxist.

This thread has one guy who 100% lost an argument and is saying the other guy is too stupid to engage, and now our public school teachers are Marxist. This world is fricked.

I have always defended teachers. But this is my stopping point. Kids need school. Take precautions, be safe but do the job you signed up for. Just like the rest of essential workers have been doing. You are essential to these students. This is the time to make a difference

Well, I mean, they are. They're pretty up front about it.

Yeah, the BLM organization definitely is, but public school teachers? This guy thinks Mrs. Agnes, whose hard of hearing and calls one of us down the hall every five minutes to boot up her computer, is teaching the communist manifesto as a way to live.

It’s just a funny image.

Edit: to be fair, had he said universities, then that might not be AS ludicrous, but meh

A lot of teachers are lazy fat asses. It’s hard to put them all in one bucket though

Our private school teachers are probably around 90% wanting to teach in person. They miss the kids and miss their co-workers

Reading this shite gave me a headache...

As a person that knows many educators and admins I can tell you that MOST of the anxiety they feel is because of the uncertainty of how the logistics of social distancing, etc is going to play out in the day to day classroom environment. I am actually yet to hear a single teacher that I know express fear over the "deadly, contagious virus". I'm sure those are out there... but I hear a metric shite ton of concern over how the schools are going to do the day instruction, feeding, bussing, etc, and stay within governor sloth's mandates.

If they are not worried about the "deadly, contagious virus" then would they worry over the rest?

Considering there is a teacher shortage across multiple states with Hawaii willing to pay you 20k to move their, yes plenty are looking.

Schools have been hiring under qualified people for years because there isn't enough qualified individuals in the teaching profession

Kids arent dying of this or spreading it.

More kids will die of the flu or diarrhea.

The younger teachers shouldnt be worried at all, the 50+ year olds can just retire early.
