Yes, they have a military. They sent troops with us to Afghanistan and some of them even died as a result.
re: Danish troops told to 'shoot first, ask questions later' if US invades Greenland

This might be the most ill-informed thing I have ever read.
You’re Putin. Which would you prefer, NATO to still be a functioning alliance or Greenland to be in US hands?
Also you’re just wrong on the “no countries have a decent military.” Most former eastern bloc nations have substantial militaries and the combined active duty personnel of many western nations is hundreds of thousands of troops. They also have been continuing to renew their infrastructure and bolster their forces in the wake of the Ukrainian War.
Adjacent to that, has no one in this thread ever heard of “soft-power”?

Can you explain to me what history you read about acquiring Greenland in the 1920s that applies to the geopolitical situation we have now? Genuinely curious, because I don’t see how that point even remotely matters.

So you’re saying we no longer benefit? Souring US ties with the entirety of Europe would have no negative effects? No consequences?
They’re our ally. The only reason China would take it over is if they don’t think we would guarantee its sovereignty and honor our alliance.
And I’m sorry, if we go to war with Russia, having Greenland will not matter. The US Navy goes where it pleases. Do you think if Russia pulled some shite Denmark wouldn’t let us do what we need? Not that it would matter cause it’d be nuclear war regardless.

Are we really at a point where we’re going to throw away the world order that made the US one of the greatest superpowers we’ve ever seen over a place that’s owned by an ally of ours where we already have a military presence?
When article 5 was triggered, Denmark sent troops to Afghanistan who died fighting alongside us. They honored their alliance with us, is it too much too ask that we show civility and respect to long time allies?

The average global temperature has gone up at an increased rate starting around the late 19th century. Average means that not every year will be hotter than the last, just that things are trending one way. When working with big data sets, it’s always simple to skew things how you want them to look.
But you don’t need to go out of your way to prove me wrong, it’ll bear out if I am or it won’t.
ETA: Also, I’m no expert, but I thought our damp climate tended to keep things below 100 degrees. 2023’s dryness was a big reason so many days were above.

The Eagles are selling out to stop it, but the receivers are straight up missing blocks when Kamara gets outside.

Look, I feel y’all on the border issue, I do. This type of rhetoric is insane.
Man, this is depressing. The idea that the Republicans, a party I thought represented me, are ready to abandon our obligations and throw in with the Russians makes me fearful of the world my daughter is going to grow up in.
Russia’s just the start. I could see them all start sucking off China with a few thinly veiled propaganda efforts from the east and Tucker talking about how nice Beijing’s public transportation is.
Trump might even have a few kind words for Xi.

What do you think will happen if, after being abandoned, Ukraine falls to Russian subjugation? I’m honestly asking. Do you think they will simply be content? What happens a few years down the line once they’ve recovered?
If they invade another country, is that also a regional conflict that doesn’t affect us one iota? What about after that?

Man, I’m not sure what your point is. Our country promised to aid Ukraine and Congress has really made a game of disregarding these people’s lives. If Trump is really going to end this war if he gets elected, maybe he could at least make sure they can negotiate from a standpoint that’s not complete capitulation.
I know it’s crazy to people around here, but countries are able to solve domestic and foreign issues at the same time. It’s not an either or thing.

If Reagan is a Rino, you guys have lost the plot.

How did Russia propaganda get such a hold on US citizens? I’ve been a conservative my whole life, but at the end of the day—China, North Korea, Iran, and yes, Russia hate us.
I just can’t believe there is a wing of our party that wants to abandon a sovereign nation to a foreign invader.
If Ukraine falls, you can bet Russia will lick its wounds and go after someone else in a few years. Then what? We let that country fall? It’s literally appeasement.

Disagree. I drink regular in the morning, but sometimes at dinner time, a nice cup of coffee goes well with dessert. So I drink decaf. It’s not quite as good, but I’ve gotten used to it enough for it not to matter.
I mean, it depends if you’d watch every game regardless. Also, you end up as tank trash you might stay there for 25 years. You stay mediocre, a good coach can turn it around quick.
re: At what point do you fire Dennis Allen and start trading veterans

I said earlier, you don’t tear shite down. I merely meant you don’t get rid of all your players and talent. If Allen isn’t getting it done, go get a new coach. Hell, a new GM is probably isn’t a bad idea. Once you start getting rid of talent, then you’re at the mercy of the draft. That’s a terrible place to be.

Tearing shite down and starting completely fresh is how you end up like the Browns, Jacksonville, Jets, Cardinals, etc.
Since the saints had success running him last week, I hope the same happens this week and he finds the end zone. I’m done with Pitts, if he blows up this week, I’ll live with six points from Taysom.
Usually I’m pretty positive, but he hasn’t looked good. Just not sure what other options were out there.
Edit: I think the line outside of Penning is decent. Carr’s not getting rid of the ball.

Hasn’t this been what Florida’s been since Meyer? Mediocre year in and year out?
