My 2 weather forecast sources disagree wildly on Saturday here. 23/13 with a 17% chance of snow vs. 17/6 with a 55% chance. And Sunday night 20 and 6% vs. 17 and 79% chance. Silly.

75% operating as normal. 25% still in the stone age.

Is Batesville a major poultry producer? If so, how do they heat the growing areas with this damage?

No. Batesville doesn’t produce poultry, as far as I know.

It is a crossroads of about 7,500 at the intersection of I-55 and Hwy 6 with Oxford being about 25 miles east along Hwy 6.

Industrywise, GE Aerospace and metal fabricators…along with cattle production and agriculture.
It’s most definitely not cosmopolitan. ;-)

HTS is heading to Oxford this morning. We had problems finding a place to host us but should prepare our first meal this evening.

Helicopters have been used for many years to repair transmission lines. It's really the only way to get up that high. And it's safer since you aren't grounded.

Yes. As of the moment, still more than 70k customers without power…and been without since Sunday. Some residents in the far western half of Davidson County shared a memo that they could be without for up to 3 more weeks.

Nashville Electric Service is taking a huge PR hit here. Rumors are they refused help from neighboring utilities because there linemen are union.

That’s horrible if true.
