It has to do with the direction the team is moving. 4 years ago, Heupel’s first season, the Vols were on the upswing and fans were excited after the Pruitt era to be there. Yesterday was just the opposite… the fan base couldn’t care less. It was also brutally cold yesterday. The 2011 game was very comfortable weather wise…I was there…it was around 60 degrees.

Again I have nothing to rethink. CK’s death was tragic…as was this one. I’m not going to dance on either grave, but I had a lot more in common with and mourned Charlie’s death more than I will this one. But I take no joy in either death.

I had high hopes for the Vols after the win over Houston, but then we got pushed around by Kansas, Syracuse and Illinois. I was at the Illinois game Saturday. Ament is nowhere near the 5 star he was projected as. He is ultra soft and a physical team takes him out of the equation.
