Gayle defenders, state your case

She runs two of the worst professional franchises in the major U. S. major professional leagues.
What is the common denominator:
Washed up GMs in their 60s who haven't won anything in 20+ years.
Gayle is incapable of knowing how to hire a competent GM so she relies on Tom's lackeys who have no clue what they're doing.
Reality is nothing will ever change until ownership changes.
Dumars especially is completely out of his league and has no idea what he's doing. Loomis isn't far behind.

Who here is a Gayle defender? Who are you trying to argue with?

I like Gayle. I think she’s a great ambassador for New Orleans, the state of LA, and our region as a whole.
But she has absolutely got to hold loomis accountable. I don’t care if it’s a forced “retirement” or what. If you want to be taken serious you have to change the state of both your current franchises. Loomis is the common denominator.

Gayle can do whatever she wants and she doesn’t care much what anyone thinks.

I know Chad down voted who else? What exactly is Gayle good at as far as being an owner.
It starts and stops with not relocating the teams.
Beyond that, she's absolutely clueless.

She’s awful, she’s crappy owner and is wrecking two sports clubs, she’s in bed with the archdiocese that swept pedophilia under the rug. She can’t be gone soon enough. She a gold digger leaching off the benson name.

saints fans should just be grateful to have an NFL franchise in their home town NOLA, which is a tiny, dysfunctional and backwards small city now
it's really just a poverty/charity case at this point
The NFL likes having a SB in NOLA every once in a while . . . for the time being But if that ever changes then it is Goodbye Columbus, Hello Darkness, and the NOLA pro football fans are finding a new team to cheer for

A weak owner is fine with a strong GM. A weak GM is in with a strong coach. We need a new GM mist of all. Then give Moore a little more time with the new system

She’s giving me John Mecom vibes, she doesn’t have a clue how to run a professional FB,NBA franchise. She depends to much on the advice of the wrong people.I don’t care if Mickey goes if she hires from within the losing will continue.

Moore doesn't have it. There are a million reasons to fire Loomis, and you can add hiring Moore to the list.

She hasn’t moved the teams.
Beyond that she’s way out of her league as an owner

Well 20 years ago would be 2006 and we won a Super Bowl in 09 so that would be objectively incorrect

There shouldn’t be any now. But this whole board defended her for years.

The problem is what owners are interested? With New Orleans population becoming increasingly on par with Knoxville or McAllen, there is a bigger chance a billionaire can buy and force a move. Graves and Fertitta wouldn’t.

She at least big dicked Mickey that time he didn’t want to fire DA.
I think she doesn’t really know what to do or how to do it or her hands are tied at certain levels with the whole trust thing.
This organization desperately needs proper football people

You’re being downvoted because you’re arguing with clouds.

I downvoted because it's a dumb thread.

Gayle owns the team. She is a mediocre owner who inherited the team and has the front office people in place that her late husband suggested she rely on when he passed away.

That is not nothing. For me, a lifelong Saints fan from the early 1970s, it means a whole lot.

The fact that she has even mentioned accountability and Mickey in the same statement indicates she at least has some idea of the angst within the fanbase. But I doubt she will really do anything about it. I don't think she is clueless; I think she is just marginally interested because it affects her social status.

Then just get on with it. I hate this bullshite talk that pops up every other week. Either try to be a functional organization of go elsewhere. But screw this participation trophy crap.

I think she's close to having enough with what has been said over the past 2 weeks by her and Loomis coming out saying "these things take time and we are all working towards the same goal of winning" That tells me that Loomis is feeling some heat from Gayle.
