LSU head coach Lane Kiffin revealed during his Sunday night Zoom call that Nate Carroll, the son of longtime NFL coach Pete Carroll, has been helping the Tigers' offensive staff this season.

Carroll is not listed on LSU's staff directory but joined the program in the fall, according to Kiffin:

"Yeah, we didn't add him to the roster because he's a pro guy," Kiffin joked.

"No, Nate came to us late during training camp and actually was coming out, kind of learning some stuff on offense, and then really liked it.

"So he's been helping us out and done a really good job getting along with offensive coaches and really fitting well. He sits by Charlie (Weis) and Dane (Stevens) up there and helps them."
