Its too early to tell. Wait for the first 5 games to finish playing out.

I believe in DA to field a good defense. I don't have faith in him as a HC BUT if Kubiak takes full control of the offense then I believe we can get it done.

That’s basically what I said right after “I just don’t believe in DA”

and the potential benefit of an improved offensive scheme under Kubiak.

One of the things that was overlooked about the transition from Pete to Kubiak is they require different things from their oline. There is a possibility that the blocking schemes in Kubiak's system may hide some of these weaknesses that would be on full display in a Payton/Pete style offense.

Agreed, and as some others posted, DA has given us ample reason to trust the D and if Kibiak fields a better-schemed O, we may not have a top flight head coach, but we could perhaps get close to the same result.

Too early to say that. Wait until we step up in competition.

If Kubiak fields even an average offense, we win the division due to defense. If he fields a top 10 offense, we are legit contenders in the NFC. I’m encouraged, Sunday will tell us a lot.

This.

DA needs to let Kubiak run the offense with no meddling, no edicts for conservative, “prevent offense”.

This defense is good enough that if DA doesn’t pucker and call prevent defenses with 5 minutes to go in games where the other team has 3 points and 4 first downs (Tampa, 2022), this team can absolutely win a bunch of games if Kubiak isn’t handcuffed.

Will we win a bunch of games by 5 TDs? Probably not, but they should “be in” EVERY game on the schedule, and should win at least 9-11 more games.

The offense averaged over 5 yards per carry before going with the 2s and Mims, and Carolina is far from the weakest front 7 we’ll face this year. An offense that can run the ball efficiently and has speed on the edges to hit on occasional deep balls paired with a flat-out dominant defense is a winning formula.

I’m done “worshipping” the Saints, but I’ll enjoy watching the games win or lose. Winning is more fun and I think we’ll have more winning Mondays than not. WHO DAT!?

To be fair, we didn’t look this good playing them last year. I think we certainly made some big strides.

Allen has a .352 winning percentage as a head coach in the NFL.

We need to see a lot more to prove this team is better than any of his others.

And how bad did we beat them last year? Answer that question.

If you're measuring improvement from last season you have a 3 game sample size. I'd say you have enough data to make a strong assumption

Well it was Carolina, but all three facets were improved.

We will see how they play against Dallas

It’s one game against the team that will likely have worst record for the second year in a row. Let’s see if we can be .500 at the halfway point with this schedule.

Lets give it a few weeks before we have this discussion but I like what I saw. As bad as the panthers are their D line is not a joke and the Saints O line performed well. Over all the offense looked smooth like a well oil machine. Again the Panthers are a bad team I get that but even last year when the Saints blew out a bad Patriots team they didn't look good doing it. The past game didn't look like that.
