re: What Did Men Do to Deserve This? (Another take on the so-called man/boy crisis)

Currently, colleges are 60/40 female to male. Over half of men 18-25 have never been on a date and are locked out of the market. 90% of women chase 10% of guys making them miserable as well, as 4’s get depressed they’ll never lock down a 9/10, only temporarily used. The US birth rate is declining, jeopardizing national security in general, and specifically all of the social programs your side loves since new children aren’t being created to tax. The declining birth rate will eventually precipitate an immigration crisis. The only thing preventing general societal upheaval is that the millions of aimless young men living with their parents are having their testosterone lowered through a combination of many different factors, including diet and a sedentary lifestyle, and are receiving just enough dopamine hits from porn and gaming, likely the 2 things preventing violent revolt. If you can’t see that’s bad and destabilizing for everyone, women included, I don’t know what to tell you.

Rumors were rampant about LR and all the inside sources said he was who LSU was pursuing. His name was intentionally leaked, he shut down the rumor and BK, who nobody expected or had info on, was hired the next day. Yea not a smokescreen.
The rumors about LR were such national news that the Oklahoma State band played ‘Callin’ Baton Rouge’ multiple times during their upset win against OU in Bedlam that year.

Absolutely. The best uniform in the nfl except maybe the Charger powder blues.
re: Who is your melt candidate?

CUM, Jimbo, Mullens, and Franklin are all perfectly acceptable melt candidates. But the one that you light pitchforks for and storm the AD’s office is:
Matt Patricia. 13-29 record as HC of the Detroit Lions. Talk about failing upwards.

Set them back a decade? What?
Maybe a tad hyperbolic but you could argue the Davenport trade was the beginning of serious holes showing in our roster. What did that set us back? Some abysmal first round picks after that but he was particularly costly.

OP, are you saying James Pearce was a bust? Or saying that he didn't warrant what is shaping up to be a top 10 pick (that was traded out of)?
Too soon to say but based on this year’s production he’s no Myles Garrett or Micah Parsons. Would he be 9th overall this year? And if the Falcons implode which, at 3-6 it looks like they might since preseason expectations were so high that could absolutely be a top 10 or top 10 adjacent pick. They still have the Bucs, Seahawks, and Rams left this year.

Julio Jones seemed to work out for the Falcons
For every Julio there’s at least 5 Marcus Davenports. Could work, but odds are definitely stacked against you. For instance, I think the Jags are going to ultimately regret the Travis Hunter trade. 2 way player sure, but pedestrian stats on both sides of the ball.

Just gloss over them having 7 points on their first drive and the defense pitching a shutout afterwards to let him get the lead. He had 5 drives to get 10 points in the first half, wowzers
His final drive was a game killing 7:30 minute drive that ended in victory formation at the Carolina 9. Total domination and control.

Didn't the rams go 2-3 years in a row with no 1st?
The Stafford trade I think. It’s an outlier for sure. Franchise qb stuck on a bad team. Pearce’s statline is not encouraging, 5 tackles, 1.5 sacks.

Posted by Flavius Belisarius on 11/10/25 at 9:16 am
to the Rams for James Pearce, Jr. That pick is currently sitting at #9, and it’s the kind of trade that can set a franchise back a decade. Every NFL GM should have ‘never trade the first round pick’ tattooed on their palm. It almost never works.

Upvote. If you read my ST post history. I’ve saying that in every thread. CKM has control. Same vibe as when we signed Payton. ETA. Our fans have such PSD that they can’t see it. Can’t blame them really. I was there in the 90s
Absolutely. Everyone forgets Payton took over a post Katrina 3-13 team that was 8-8 in 2004. He had some talent on that team plus Brees and an historic draft class. CKM’s cupboard is pretty bare and he has them playing hard.

Yes, and climbed in the pocket too. Some very Breeslike deep balls. Very, very encouraging.
re: How would you rate/rank the actresses of Friends.

Unpopular opinion, but Courtney Cox is clear #1, Jennifer Aniston is a close #2, and Lisa Kudrow is a distant 3.

We have a relatively new one, the guy who hired Fritz (Troy Dannen) messed up every other hire he made with baseball and basketball. He left for UW for all of six months before Nebraska came calling, that’s where he is now.

Willie Fritz is legit
He undoubtedly is, but Tulane showed a lot of patience with him. He had a losing record until his next to last season there. Knows ball though and his teams are tough. Building a program at Tulane is impressive.
Also Tillman Fertitta and all of his billions would be a potential stumbling block.

That’s an embedded ball. Lift, clean, no way to replace without it going in. A hole in one all day.

Susanna Hoffs makes 1 the choice by a mile. Kapowski makes it close but not within 1 mile.
