Most improved Offense after week 1 no doubt.

Panthers had 2 wins last year. I'd say its a little too early to tell.

Have to beat Dallas though, I hate the cowgirls.

Probably, but avg defeat last year was by 11.6. 26 point defeat was the largest last season

I don't think we have to beat em. Just get 2 of the next 4 somehow - at Dallas, Philly, at Atlanta, KC.

Remember last year:
@Carolina 20-17 (W)
vsCarolina 28-6 (W)

Division opponents tend to compete regardless of record.

That being said --- Dallas is a true contender. They have continuity and added pieces. It'll test us, if we can beat them or hang with them I'd feel confident in a playoff berth.

Not a fluke. Improved. How much, not sure.

The offense looked fluid. Like, they were doing things that seemed right. Last couple of years, it just looked wrong. When to run, when to throw, when to go deep, middle of the field, TE work, running game variances, speed edge plays, cutbacks, Taysom at RB. Dallas will be a test.

If we can survive Parsons, we can survive anyone.

Seeing him destroy Clevelands O line was quite a sight

He's a wrecking ball for sure, but the Browns were down 2 Oline starters

Saints beat a bad team badly, as they should have. We'll know more in a few weeks.

The Panthers are still bad. The Saints are better than last year, how much better will be determine in three-five weeks. However, the offense did look different in that it had better rhythm, timing and play calling. Last year, half this board knew what play was coming pre-snap, so image that every DC in the NFL knew what was the play before the snap. Yesterday, looked different., with more misdirection, short pass, long pass mixed up, variety of plays for Karama, TE's and Hill.

I don't think the Panthers are a complete liability on the defensive side of the ball. They were like top 7 in ypg in 2023, so Im very encouraged about the offense and Oline play.

I'm wasn't even concerned about the defense before the game yesterday and of course we played well. Panthers have an abysmal offense so I'd like to see how we do against Dallas next week.

So yes, this is a very encouraging start in my opinion.

Many commentators, including those on this board, were critical of the Saints’ OL and to a lesser degree, lack of playmakers going into the season, but my admittedly optimistic view is that we weren’t accounting for a healthy AK and the potential benefit of an improved offensive scheme under Kubiak. In short, we weren’t as bad in terms of offensive personnel as injuries and a dated scheme made the team look last year. I’ll continue to stick with that and now I have at least one game’s worth of evidence to support the hopeful outlook.

We are basically the 85 bears on defense and the greatest show on turf on offense with Devin Hester as a returner.

I just don’t believe in DA… but I would love to be wrong. If Kubiak is as good as Sunday suggests, and DA can stay out of his way and focus on the defense, we might have something.
