Wolves moving back 12 spots and getting a front court mate for KAT

Hawks giving up #6 and Collins (who they are skeptical of paying) for Jrue.

Thats not bad value.

But, as said that would be my guess on the framework of a deal, I could see Minnesota moving from 1 to 6 while sending 17 to Atlanta and #1 to us while we keep 13, but it would likely be something along those lines.

Why would the Wolves give up and 1 and Culver and only get John Collins back

The way the nba is going now maybe KAT and Dlo told management they need him because he was awesome on 2k when they played together.

they are not trading KAT after they got his buddy Russell to play with him.

I figured I would get in on these trade ideas

I don't think it is. In this draft I would definitely trade down for Collins in return. You have to remember, Minnesota is desperate to win now and make KAT and D'Lo happy. Now will the move be down to 13? No clue, but likely thats why #6 is being discussed. Thats why I said a framework, pieces would be moved, but with all the information we've been getting we know #1, #6, Jrue, Culver are involved.

Again, don't see it happening, but getting Lamelo Ball and Patrick Williams in the same draft changes the complexion of this team a good bit, size wise. You all of a sudden have one of the most versatile young rosters out there in terms of positionless basketball.

I’m ok with Williams but I don’t want to touch LaMelo with a ten foot pole despite his measureables. I just don’t see him playing winning basketball.

That is very carefully worded and is not a denial. It sounds like it’s confirming they don’t have or won’t give what the Pels want...yet.

Well wtf.

I definitely trust Stein so this could all just be games between the two teams in terms of keeping value up or down.

He is a very good player.

For many years we were trying to fit a round peg into a square hole

I dont see how you will get better than #6 and a player.
It all is going to depend on who the player is

Unless the reports are that Atlanta is a possible 3rd team getting involved in the trade for Jrue?

This guy, being a good reporter, is screwing up Griffin's game to drive up Jrue's price.

So we’ve heard multi team and we’ve heard Wolves and Hawks. What if there is a fourth team (Warriors or Bulls)?

Maybe Jrue told them he wouldn't commit to an extension hence the change?

Or a 3rd team isn't giving up what the teams need to facilitate?

That means there are a lot of moving parts here. A straight up trade with Atlanta seem to make sense, so with other teams involved I am intrigued.

My guess is that New Orleans isn't interested in Huerter, which is the young piece that Atlanta has been rumored to be adding as a sweetener, so they are attempting to find something that makes sense in regards to that piece. Route Huerter to a third team and the Pels either get a pick or another piece that they like.

It could also be that they haven't heard reassurances from Jrue yet that he would be willing to stay long term. So, until they get that, they aren't a possible trade destination.

This makes the most sense.
