I agree with you on bledsoe, depending on what they can get.

I feel like all the offers will be lowball.

Bleacher Report did a few Lonzo trade proposals LINK

quote:

LAC: Lou Williams, Patrick Patterson and a 2022 second-round pick (via Atlanta) for Lonzo Ball

quote:

GS: Kelly Oubre Jr., Alen Smailagic and a 2022 second-round pick for Lonzo Ball and Willy Hernangomez

quote:

POR: Derrick Jones Jr. and a 2023 first-round pick (lottery-protected) for Lonzo Ball

Little do they know we'd take much less for him.

This one please.

DJJ does carry a $9mil salary next season but the draft pick would make it worth it.

That's the one I would want as well. Not really interested in either of the other 2 proposals.

I think Portland would be wise to go get Lonzo. I think he could do well there.

Oubre cannot be traded until February 2nd from what I have seen.

I'd assume a lot of guys that were signed or traded for in the offseason are in that same timeframe. So I wouldn't expect anything until at least next week.

February 6th is the December 15th date for this season.

There you go. I knew it was sometime around then just didn't know the date.

I wouldn't expect anything until that date or after. And you probably don't want Griffin to anyway. You want him to have as many options as he can.

Didn't think he had any restrictions, but maybe so. Regardless, the trade deadline is not until March 25, so I do not expect to see anything happen too soon.

February 2 is only next week so could see that happening that day. More than OK with that.

But with the deadline not until March 25, I do not see anything happening real soon unless the focus is a simple dump.

I’d imagine they may feel they can still make a play in push so will want to get guys in earlier to see what they got.

Sounds like more of a deadline deal then, from a Knicks beat reporter:

quote:

One team monitoring the situation said the Pelicans value Ball and won’t deal him without getting a significant return.

He also said the Knicks were interested in Lonzo in the offseason, but the "emergence" of Immanuel Quickley makes them less likely to give up much for Lonzo.

Of course they are going to say that. They aren't going to say "We will give him away for nothing!"

Can we hurry up and trade Ball. The more he plays the less valuable he will become.

I would imagine Begley's report was a leak from the Knicks, especially the "they're probably not that interested" part.
