Detroit probably has no interest in trading Sekou unless they are just blown away by a package (TWSS).

And the Magic would probably just keep Fournier instead of this.

But I guess you never know.

Yeah definitely would have to be part of a larger deal, but the only team that would make sense where we could save salary would be Boston, unless we send Redick in a 3 team deal and Boston wants a guy off that team, or NYK to take into cap space.

I definitely could get behind:

Pels: Oubre, Ojeleye, 22 1st from Warriors, 27 1st from Celtics (both lottery protected)

I’d do it but I just don’t see them giving up on Wiseman so quickly. Ball is a bust

I didn't know if the Pistons really valued Sekou much or not. He's only playing 12 mpg in his 2nd year on the worst team in the league. I figured they didn't value him that much based on that.

and what are the Magic doing? If they aren't keeping Fournier, might as well get somethign for him.

Only reason i though of this is b/c i know Detroit is going to trade Rose, and i think they would be interested in Lonzo, and i would bet Philly would rather JJ than Green. Danny Green was awful in the playoffs last year, and he's still not shooting all that great. He's shot 36% from 3 three of the last 4 years. If JJ played 28 minutes in Philly, he'd average twice the amount of points as Green's 9.

Watch JJ remember how to shoot once he's traded haha. I would love to keep him here as a mentor for his work culture but I understand.

Lonzo can see the next exit out of here!

I think right now is probably the right time to inject some expectation setting again.

Very likey if we move on from Bledsoe, JJ, and Redick they are going to look significantly better in their new homes over time, and people are going to rush to blame Griffin/SVG.

But the fact is all three are collectively in a really shitty situation. It is about the least complimentary rotation in the league, all exacerbated by being on a team that has had a brutal schedule and the deck stacked against them because of the new system and condensed offseason.

Those three basically going anywhere, in any rotation more aligned with where they should be will likely make them look better.

JJ going to a contender in an established offensive system that can incorporate him comfortably into what they are doing, not being asked to be a sixth man, not having to over exert himself physically thanks to having better players around him, likely means an notable improvement.

Ball going somewhere where he has a more complimentary guard, is built around more, or comes off the bench in a lower usage utility role will almost certainly make him look better. Bledsoe going to a team with proper spacing next to him and a more complimentary role either off the bench or starting like in MIL, will likely make him look better as well.

All that said moving them is the right move. JJ is gone after this season, Ball is not the right fit next to Zion/Ingram, and Bledsoe isn’t on our time schedule

He's specifically mentioned in The Athletic article as the Pels and Warriors have discussed it.

Also, Oubre grew up in New Orleans. Not sure if going back is the best thing for him considering he grew up in arguably the deadliest projects in the city. I imagine getting away from a lot of those people was probably the best thing for him.

Shams has indicated the Pels are open for business on Redick/Lonzo. The athletic reporter leaked that the Warriors have discussed Oubre with the Pels, but that’s all we know that I am aware of.

Who they have discussed that trade for is speculation.

Personally I am only open to Oubre if it includes a first rounder attached.

From when I was a baby, we lived in the Magnolia Projects. It isn’t the nicest place in the city to live. That’s where all the crime was happening. Then we moved. Still Uptown, but it was more of an older crowd. Then when I was about 7 years old, we moved to the East. The East is a nicer area of the city. You got a lot of the rappers and celebrities living in Eastover—I lived about 10 minutes from them. I felt like we had made it at that point. We were living solid, in a nice house. We were there for two years until I was 9, then that’s when Katrina hit, and that’s when we moved to Houston

He was only here until he was 9, I think he’d be fine

We don’t need another mercurial shooter though

Well, it certainly wouldn't be a long term fit and he's expiring. It would allow you some flexibility at 2/3/4 with Oubre and Ingram, and more importantly, free up more minutes for Kira and NAW.

Really, I'd want some kind of future asset coming back for either guy (young player buried on depth chart, 2nd round picks, late 1st, etc). That's got to be the goal.

But freeing up some minutes and just moving on from Lonzo has some value.

I'd actually want more for JJ.

Lonzo developed as the Warriors new Shaun Livingston/Iggy is the sort of role that makes a ton of sense for Lonzo...And also the type of role that I think would have Pels fans pissed off in a few years because it would actually accentuate his skills and cover for a lot of his weaknesses.
He needs to be paired with a strong primary ball handler. He wouldn't be bad in that role, on that team.

If you can get Oubre for Ball and they say no then this franchise has zero hope.

I wonder how soon before we hear Lavar commenting on this?

Also, if Shams is already talking about it, I would not be surprised if we saw deals happen pretty quickly.
