Yeah I’m like that we have 3 (including the MIL 1-4 protected) 1st round picks next year in a great draft. We can leverage one or two to get better!

Jake Fischer reiterates that Trae Young is still interested in the Pels, but he basically said the Pels aren't interested, they've had no talks because we have CJ and the fit isn't there.

I would agree. Trae/CJ backcourt would never work.
So move CJ.
It sounds like our idiot GM is set on building around CJ/Herb/Trey/Zion/5 that can't shoot. Problem with that is there is no PG in that lineup, and any PG you bring in means Trey goes to the bench.

Waste of a roster spot to have JRE, but whatever.
And i think it's wrong of them to keep Jose at that amount. I don't know if they can give him an extension or not, but they should be giving him a new contract this year, whether that contract goes into affect this year or next i don't care, but he should have a new contract with us this offseason.
It's not like he deserves much more, but he without a doubt deserves a new contract. a simple 4/$26 would make him and the everyone else happy.
Pritchard signed for 4/$30
McConnel was 4/$33

https://sports.yahoo.com/brandon-ingram-expected-to-become-available-for-trade-as-wing-market-comes-into-focus-150152771.html
Nothing groundbreaking in here, but it does cover a lot of BI stuff.

One team to monitor for Ingram would be Sacramento. The Kings have been weighing paths to acquire various wings, sources said, from Kyle Kuzma to Zach LaVine, and Ingram could be another option for Sacramento to explore, sources said. The Kings have veteran wings Harrison Barnes and Kevin Huerter, whom Sacramento placed on the trade market last deadline, sources said, and their two salaries combine for almost a perfect match to meet Ingram’s $36 million expiring number for 2024-25.

The only way Sacramento and Philly makes sense is if their picks are being rerouted to Atlanta for Trae
He’s eligible to sign a contract extension July 6th, so they have all season to work on extending him

3 team trade:
Atlanta sends out Young, Okongwu to NO, Bogdanovic to Sacramento
Sacramento sends out Huerter, Barnes, 2026 1st, 2028 1st, and 2027 1st swap to Atlanta
New Orleans sends out Ingram to Sacramento, Nance and 2025 NO 1st to Atlanta
I'd imagine Nance (11.2mil, 1 year), Barnes (18mil/yr, 2 years), or Huerter (16.8mil/yr, 2 years) can also be moved for future 2nd round picks to contenders who want to fill out with limited cap implications. Lets say they can get a 2nd round pick each.
Atlanta losing Young, Okongwu, and Bogdanovic for 3 1sts: 25, 26, and 28; 1 1st swap: 27, and 3 2nds
Sacramento gives up 3 1sts and 2 depth pieces who didn't work out for Ingram, Bogdanovic.
New Orleans gives up Ingram, Nance, and 1st for Young, Okongwu.
Is that worth it? Sacramento has to give up a bit more huh

God Griff is just horrible. Absolutely no vision or understanding of roster building.
The Trae trade is set up on a tee for him. Just like the Lauri for Ball trade. Dude wants to come play with Zion. We have the roster fit for him right now. Would bring excitement like never before.
And he’s gonna swing and miss. Or not swing at all.

Not enough for Young and Okongwu….
Also, I’d try to send Nance to ATL since he is expiring and they are looking to dump salaries. Then we take Barnes.
Either way, there needs to be more going back to ATL.

Trae probably isn’t happening.

Well he did says we won't be an apron team. So there's that ...

He means “good for the locker room” by that. And Trae apparently is bad for the locker room.
Granted, there are bad rumors about Murray which is why he supposedly got shipped out of San Antonio.

Yea that’s a horrible trade, I’m sure the kings would love to trade their garbage off for BI.

Hes just a quirky little shite that’s just plain bad at his job. I was willing to give him a shot but was skeptical after his Anthony Bennet pick. But i knew we were in trouble when he made that first Adams trade. It’s been down hill since.
