I’ve heard the inverse, that Trae wanted to play with Zion. Have not heard Zion weighing in on this.

Atlanta sends out Young, Okongwu to NO, Bogdanovic to Sacramento Sacramento sends out Huerter, Barnes, 2026 1st, 2028 1st, and 2027 1st swap to Atlanta New Orleans sends out Ingram to Sacramento, Nance and 2025 NO 1st to Atlanta

Sacramento would have to send out around 10 million more in salary for that to work.

Pels would have to include more salary also, namely Dyson, and Pels would have to include more picks.

don't care, but he should have a new contract with us this offseason.

Why?

He showed last year he's unplayable in the playoffs basically. I love the regular season energy he brings but we do not need to pay anything more for him due to his limitations.

if NO traded BI to 76ers, I'd want 3 first round picks and two first round picks swaps, but not until 2027

Don't think they have any to trade until 2027.

We dont' have 2 picks in 2026, but we do in 2027, so any trade for picks would be me wanting one in 2026 and 2028.

Philly has two firsts in 2026, their own and the worst out of OKC/LAC/Houston (OKC gets the two best).
They don't have their own '25 or '27 firsts.
They do have their own '28 and the Clippers '28 1sts.

So they can trade one in '26 and '28, and '29
Their '29 first can be a pick swap with LAC, but it's for Philly

The Clippers have no leverage. Paul George can just opt out and become an unrestricted free agent which would leave them with nothing.

Where does PG go if he opts out rather than forcing a trade? Philly?

Only good team with cap space to sign him outright is Philly.

The leverage is that he cannot get to some of the teams he wants to without opting in and demanding a trade (i.e. Warriors).

Orlando too, but I don't think they need another wing.

I think they just want anyone who can start for them and space the floor. They could easily play George at the 2 but it sounds like they're focused more on the KCP/Klay tier of 3 point shooters.

God Griff is just horrible. Absolutely no vision or understanding of roster building.

The Trae trade is set up on a tee for him. Just like the Lauri for Ball trade. Dude wants to come play with Zion.

I think we, as a board, are really underestimating how dead Trae's value is around league front office circles.

While Trae seems like an excellent fit for this roster offensively, I think we are forgetting about how much Griff values culture and all the rumblings about how bad of a teammate Trae has been in Atlanta.

If the rumors and reports are true about Trae's teammates not liking him and Trae being a huge locker room problem, there's no way I can see Griff and/or Wollie signing off on bringing him in. Especially, with their emphasis on high character guys.

Couple that with Trae's defensive issues, and I don't think this is happening guys.

To be clear, I am on team "frick it," and let's do what it takes to get Trae in if it raises our ceiling. He's probably the best high-level talent we are capable of getting.

Griff running us into the ground trying to recreate the perfect Adams family, instead of a serious, professional basketball team.

They have all the leverage. PG has already came out and said he wants to stay on the west coast, and the only way that can happen is via opt in and trade. Unless PG is willing to settle for Philly, which by all accounts he’s not, then Clips trading him to GS is his only option.

Perfect trade to jump into with Ingram to Clips and all assets from GS to Hawks for Trae. GS has picks and young players they can put in to the deal.

If Clips were interested. However, I have read that if PG leaves, they may turn to DeRozan.
