I wonder if we're still as interested in Kessler as we were before drafting Missi. They are both athletic, rim-protecting bigs who are good defenders but can't shoot.
Obviously, Kessler has proven himself at the NBA level and Missi hasn't, but I think that Kessler is a good comp for Missi.

Wouldn’t be a bad idea to grab Kessler and let him and Missi split minutes, Kessler getting most of them to start and be able to mentor Missi. If Missi is able to develop into a starter he’s 3 years away imo, so best idea would be to being him off the bench while he learns

Note the comment "Utah will hold a firm, heavy price..." Never easy to deal with Ainge.

I remember when this board didnt want to trade Kira and a 1st for Sexton. Now we want to trade BI for him. Lol

You were right about Sexton, for sure.

Two picks, Paul Reed and Jared McCain and call it a trade. Send whichever 6ers pick to Utah for Kessler
I’m doing this all day. I’m high on McCain. Paul reed is a decent rotation 4 on a cheap deal, and we get a huge trade exception.
Only thing I’d change is that I’d go to Cleveland and make them tell me no for Jarrett Allen.
McCain Herb Trey Zion Allen
CJ Hawk Dyson Reed Missi
That’s a nice rotation.

Rumors are Knicks are trying to move Miles McBride and not take any salary back so they can stay under the 2nd apron to bring back Hartenstein. He’s someone that would fit into the Kira TPE, and shoots 41% from 3

I wouldn’t be looking at him for anything more than maybe a 10-11th man, but pretty much the idea behind it would be turning the TPE into an actual salary you can aggregate with other salaries later in a trade as you are limited to who you can take into the TPE

If tweet fails to load, click here. What universe is this? Is Masai completely overrated as a GM?
Trey’s extension just went to 30 million first year floor

Salary floor is causing stupid shite these days.
If you don’t reach the floor within X days of free agency starting, you don’t get your cut of luxury tax distribution IIRC.
Hence teams filling cap space with questionable players who don’t move the needle.

Yea Trey is getting 30 M's
It's going to be the new going rate for good young player who has potential to become very good. A lot of front offices will justify it because the cap is projected to go up 10% every year.
What do y'all think Evan Mobley is going to get on his new deal? Probably $200 mil over 5 seasons. And there's no difference there in quality of player vs Trey, only difference is draft pedigree.

If Quickley got 175, Trey is going to command more than 30 especially if we wait until after his 4th season.

Cleveland has already said they’re paying him a max for some reason.

Odds on who BI ends up on havent' changed.
Odds on Trae Young have changed.
It's been -200 he stays with Hawks the entire time, then Spurs, Lakers, Heat.
Pels are at +1600 now. Were at +2200 yesterday. Still obviously not a high chance, but the line moved for us and no one else.
