CHI/ Nets legit have 100 mil cap space. Kings/ Jazz/ Pistons have plenty assets to send out. That's absolutely not a concern or thought. On top of that this team would be immediately extending him.

I have never ever heard of any of those teams having a remote interest in Zion. None. He would be a horrible fit on all of them. Why do they want him?

They have openly wanted to do it, have the space, have the assets, and are desperate for ticket sales or relevance.

I have never seen any of this. Zion doesn't sell tickets and he doesn't bring relevance. He played most of the year, and we had a bad record and low attendance. Are you thinking about Zion from like 5-6 years ago?

quote:

Give me an argument based on the Nets, Bulls, Piston, Kings, Jazz. Not an argument of simply "they won't do it" but an argument of assets, salary, cap space, etch. There is no argument for those teams.

Why would they? What does getting Zion get them?

None? Never? The only other teams that have been in the conversation are Hornets/ Knicks.

The Bulls have been zoned in on Z for the entire last year so idk wtf you are talking about.

the better question is, without hyperbole, why would any team want him? Consider salary, injury history, lack of development, zero interest in playing defense, poor leadership skills, poor work ethic, and the cost to acquire him. Of course if the pelicans waived he’d be signed immediately as a no risk opportunity but I will be shocked if the pelicans find a trade partner at all

This is all news to me. I've never heard this at all. I thought the Bulls were starting a rebuild. That's why they shed everything they could at the deadline.

So I Googled it, and there isn't much in regards to it. I did find one projected trade that included the Bulls trading for Zion. It had us getting Patrick Williams, Tre Jones, Jalen Smith and the 15th pick. That's a better return than I thought, but still a bunch of ehh pieces.

So, just to be clear, the Bulls want Zion. You think they'll give us the #4. So why haven't we done that yet? If that is anyway true, it's the biggest mistake in franchise history..

From Scoop B

Can confirm the Pelicans' interest in Jaylen Brown. New Orleans is ready to remodel the roster around All-Rookie standouts Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen, who are completely untouchable.

Everyone else—including Zion Williamson—is on the table. New Orleans prefers to keep Zion, but they aren't "married to him."

Trey and Dejountae for Brown.

Not a huge fan because Brows is just crazy expensive and doesn't fit the timeline.

Fears
Herb
Brown
Zion
Queen

Just not enough shooting still and Zion and Queen don't fit imo.

Not the worst trade but not my favorite. I would consider it I guess if you can also move Zion. for a C. Who? I have no idea.

I’d have a better chance of 5 minutes alone with Ana de Armas, than this trade happening

Bill is plugged in with the Celtics, so all of this smoke makes me think this deal is more likely than not to happen.

We are going to get raped

So you do not know much about Simmons huh? He posts fantasy ideas to make the Celtics better all the time. Almost all have zero substance.

With how bad Holmgren was, his value is low. But he would be a great fit next to Queen. If we traded Murphy and Jones to OKC, I think we could get Holmgren and at least one 1st (#12 of 17). That just fixes a lot of our issues right away.

We better get more than that, lol.

I'd be down for trading Trey to OKC for 12,17, 2 future picks and Cason Wallace. Cason isn't huge, but he's still a nice defensive fit next to Fears. And when he is given more offensive responsibility, he's usually pretty solid. He's also only 22 and fits w the Fears/Queen timeline.

I would not want any part of paying Chet $55M a year even though he would fit solidly next to Queen and/or Zion.

Holmgren is tall. That’s about it for me…

Taller Evan Mobley; a great robin. big defensive stretch 3, but so limited offensively and has a hard time getting their shot because they don't have handles.

OKC will trade Dort before they trade Wallace. Cason isn't going anywhere for a while.
