Pretty much any franchise that doesn't cater to or try to build around a 6ft 5, 310 pound shooting guard that can't shoot or stay healthy for 8 years.
I'd take our franchise over the Kings or Nets. That's about it.

Let Me Goon in Peace Lil Bro. Leave the Gooning to the experts. No need to police a healthy habit.
Agreed, Ben Simmons peak as an overall basketball player was higher than Zion. He was a winning player. A playoff player. His brain broke eventually and he's been a joke since then. But people forget how good and impactful on winning he was for 3-4 years. Again, Philly didn't have to waste 8 years on him either. And look at them now.
The Dak slander is out of control. He's had like 1 bad year (thumb injury) in his entire career as a 4th Rd pick, with Jerry Jones as a wild owner, and a routinely shitty defense.
Zion is one of the worst picks of all time considering the fact that he's just barely good enough to keep the hope alive, get paid like he's a franchise player, try to build a roster around a 1 dimensional short power guard, and waste 8 years doing so.
This is so much more damaging than Oden crashing out of the league in 3 years due to injuries or A Bennett just plain sucking. Both of those guys didn't waste much time and anchor their franchises into the abyss for an extended period of time.
Think about where we were 7-8 years ago. We actually had an excited fanbase. We had hope. We had potential. Zion being at the forefront of our franchise has turned us into a complete joke and laughingstock.

He left the 2 best Spread Option QB's of All Time, off the list simply because they played for LSU

Joe Burrow ran a lot of RPO's at LSU, so the fact that he didn't make your list of 20 QB's shows how little ball you know.
re: N/P: Wemby takes paycut on his new contract

I think I'm allowed to hate on Wemby due to A) being a division rival B) being a political tool in his press conferences C) being a dirty player D) being a soft front runner that chokes E) Being unoriginal and copying Brunson to build up his good guy/good teammate/only care about winning facade
This is gay. Just shows you how little confidence he has in himself after he blew the Finals. With Brunson, it was different bc his dad is a Coach on the Knicks and he was a 2nd Rd pick, taking $100M less on what might be his best opportunity at a huge contract if things didn't work out. That took balls. Wemby is a giant pussy.
re: tAnnual Zion looks really skinny in the offseason thread

So we gotta wait 10 years for dude to become a decent basketball player and not have an all athletic based game? We gotta wait until his athleticism is gone? Bro is going to be a fat Kyle Anderson or a 6ft 5 Kyle Lowry in year 10? Why? What is the point? Personally I'd cut him now. He's still an extremely dark cloud around this team. He's been the literal elephant in the room for 8 straight years now. If Zion does this. If he does that. frick this dude. He sucks.

Kyle Lowry has always been an elite human, leader, teammate, etc. Also, he was never the number 1 guy on a playoff team. He was best cast as option 3 or 4. If that's Zion's best case, this entire 8 years has been a disaster and waste of time.

I think people rightfully have fatigue and are just more willing to tell the truth these days, especially after dealing with the cancel culture era of 2020-2022. Pattern and statistics recognition and telling jokes based off of those things do not equate to racism. The people telling these jokes in these forums aren't out there committing hate crimes in real life. The same can't be said about the people they are telling the jokes about.
re: Go get Jonas back.

Jonas has been more impactful on winning for the Pels than Zion and he was only here 3 years. I support getting him back as well. Dude was a hard worker, productive and a class act. Would be a great mentor and practice partner for Queen. He could also set some nice screens for Fears to get downhill.
Duren lost his 2nd best player title after turning into Jaxson Hayes in the playoffs.
Tobais Harris was the 2nd best player on a 60 plus win team last year bro
New info came out 2 hours ago that Jaylen Brown refused to get moved to the Pels or Blazers. Obviously that means he okayed the Sixers.
So I was right, when you are a have not, your price is different and/or you don't even get a seat at the table for certain deals. So, all of this discussion about what we could have offered is mute. Also, the discussion that he wouldn't want to go to Philly has also proven to be incorrect.

It's too damn bad Zion's number isn't going from $25M to $23.5M. instead, we let him play LA Fitness level intensity ball to get another 15M and ruin our salary cap situation.

Going to be an absolute joy for him to have his career prospects tied to someone like Cooper Flagg instead of Zion.
Whether he thinks Embiid is a flopper or not, he is a former MVP and had a nice rebound season last year. I'm sure he preferred playing and having a chance to win w Embiid, Maxey and VJ
Over something like Zion, DQ and Fears
Also, he's been living in the NE most of his adult life. Moving to Philly vs NOLA is less of a lifestyle change.

If I had to guess, our price was something like Trey, Murray, and 1 or 2 firsts.
Small markets simply don't get the same price for stars. Jaylen Brown probably had some input on the trade as well. These teams accept 25% less all the time to appease players and agents. Should they? No. Do they? Yes.

Zion was supposed to make this team more of a free agent destination, but he somehow made it even less of one. He's also somehow only 1 of 2 players drafted in the first round of 2019, that is still with his original team.
