It's kind of astounding the length at which some of you guys dislike black folks. Pretty sad.

Are you retarded, brother? OKC has no bandwagon fans. We’re a small fish in a large pond where no one likes us. We were almost universally hated as soon as we got a modicum of success.
It is interesting how the Thunder are seemingly so disliked since this team and Sam Presti have put together a masterclass on how a small-market team can build a franchise through the draft and trades. It's been fascinating to observe.
It might be partially due to their teams having inept front offenses making terrible trades with Presti.

Personally, I didn't follow basketball at all. Grew up a hockey and football fan. The Thunder turned me into a basketball fan.
I will say, the Thunder completely killed hockey in OKC. Did everything they could to eliminate the AHL team across the street. They gave their G-league team prime weekend dates over the hockey team. I think the Blue basketball team pulled about 200 fans a game. Ridiculous.
In OKC, you pretty much have to be a basketball fan since they pretty much own the city at this point.
They also did a great job of hurting the local film scene by tearing down Prairie Surf Studios (future location of the new arena). They were shooting some fantastic projects in OKC like Tulsa King, Twisters, Stillwater, and a few others but that's pretty much stopped and shifted to the Tulsa area.

Amazing how well that model worked.
You don't think people from third-world countries work hard? Do you work from home or something? They're some of the hardest working people I've come across in America.

The entire 'white men are victims' deal is one of the most bizarre things about the modern day white American.
I lived in Asia for years. Worked with a lot of impoverished people in Cambodia and Myanmar. People that were ACTUALLY victims of bad circumstances and oppression.
Moved back to the US and reconnected with white buddies from the past. One evening at dinner, these guys went off on a rant about how white men were the most oppressed group in the country and that companies were no longer hiring them.
I should point out, one of them was an engineer at Chesapeake Energy, one owned his own real estate group, another was a successful insurance exec. All made six figures, owned beautiful homes, drove $40K pickups and had season tickets.
America is a weird place to live......honestly.

So I have no problem being seen by an Indian doctor.
I used to date an East Indian chick from Missouri that had a PhD and was high up at the local state health department. Her parents had emigrated to the United States when her mother was recruited out of nursing school during the nursing shortage in the 70's. They only hired the top 5% of graduates. She was an RN in Oklahoma for 32 years. Very nice people.
Anyway, we were sitting around one night and they were sharing stories about the racist crap they had to deal with in the medical field in Oklahoma.
The mother said that she would occasionally get the 'I want an AMERICAN NURSE!' crap from an older patient. She always had to accept it but would occasionally send over the least competent, rookie nurse to the room.
Sorry about that catheter issue, sir, but at least she has blond hair and blue eyes!! Ha!

City of Edmund is clearly not ready for cultural enrichment.
No, we here in the city of Edmond have been accepting of crazy gunmen of all ethnicities for decades.
What put us on the map is when a nutty white guy named Patrick Sherill got upset with his boss at the Edmond Post Office and killed 14 of his co-workers. That was back in 1986. They now call it 'going postal'.
Funny how a lot of white people have already forgotten about that one.
re: Few things are as demoralizing as the experience of selling a car on Facebook Marketplace

Dude......I get it. I've been selling items from an old rent house lately. Fridge, sofas, Roku TV, etc. It can be frustrating. The best buyers are the Mexicans. They tend to show up no questions asked and pay cash. The Americans can be nightmares.
Having said that, it's sad to see people who need a good reliable car at an affordable price miss out on a deal. I work with low-income workers - single moms trying to pay the rent - that can use a good car. By the time someone finds a break between two jobs to look at a car, it's already been sold to a dealer or flipper who is going to add 4 grand on the price. It's hard for some people to get out of a hole.

Timely topic.
Have been searching for a good, one-owner vehicle for a few months and I've about given up on finding something from a private owner. Everyone seems to be just selling everything to a Carmax where they jack the price another five grand.
One thing I find funny about female car owners selling on Marketplace.....no pictures of interior, no mention of miles, number of owners, clean title, etc. Just a photo of said car and sob story about selling it. Comically frustrating.
