re: 2022-23 Lakers Thread

Even though not in our division, the Nuggets lost to the lowly Pistons too. Better for seeding and puts Detroit at only 1 less win than the Lakers and maybe an extra ping pong ball or so. I could also see AD missing some games with that wrist even though he played through it.

Phoenix didn’t attack the rim but I agree they probably should have had more free throws. Astoundingly enough most if not all of the Lakers FTs seemed legit at least to me

Davis was patrolling the paint pretty well on both ends tbh

The ft disparity was mostly on the up and up from what I could tell.

Booker walked over him after flagrantly fouling him and said something, then Ayton stands right over him and says something. I don't care if that's what they want to do to a scrub and intimidate him, you do you Phoenix, bunch of bitches, but expect his teammates to have his back, which is exactly what Pat Bev did. Give him a small fine and be on our way. I think it would be cool if Westbrook stepped in and said i'll pay whatever fine Beverly gets, and Beverly or someone else on the Lakers should have said if the refs would have done their job and T'd up Ayton, then this probably doesn't get escalated the way it did.

And Booker is a bitch. You think Pat Bev wouldn't have pushed Ayton's illiterate arse in his chest? He pushed him in the back b/c that's just how it happened. Had he come from the other direction, he would have shoved him in his chest. As if Pat Bev is scared of anyone.
I hate the Lakers and want them to lose every game, but i'm completely on their side on this one.

Right. What's supposed to happen after the foul is that Davis is supposed to push Ayton away, instead of just talking and doing nothing. Davis doesn't have to fight or do anything violent enough to earn a foul -- just push Ayton away.

Davis, after the game, was talking about how everyone on the Lakers has everyone else's back. No they don't. If you'd had Reeves's back like you were supposed to, you wouldn't have gotten Pat Bev suspended.

I like Reaves but I doubt many NBA players do, except for the ones on his team. Awful early in his career to be flopping as much as he does. Others might flop more, including some on our team...but for the most part...flopping this early will get him a rep...which will result in a whole bunch of "accidental" elbows to the face. I realize he's just trying to prove he deserves to be in the NBA...but he needs to tone it back a bit.
