I mean the difference is mainly semantic right? You take technical free throws, you get the ball back. The only real difference is that a technical means if you get another tech you get ejected right?

Stupid to challenge. Hitting the shooter in the head is NOT OK.

No. Common foul is reaves shoots two and Suns get the ball. Flagrant is two and ball back on the side.

Had the shot gone in...ref wasn't gonna call a foul. It's the NBA...they do it all the time.

I wasn’t talking about common foul vs flagrant. I was talking about technical vs flagrant 1

A technical would be one free throw, although in this case it was either going to be a personal or Flagrant 1 - a tech wouldn't be applicable unless they enforced it after the original foul, say for taunting. If you get two Flagrant 1 fouls you get ejected - same as two technicals. It's pretty much like a yellow card in soccer.

Gotcha. Then I’m not sure. I thought a Flagrant 1 was a tech, technically speaking.

It's not. They are two separate things:

LINK

quote:

The definition for a flagrant foul is:

Flagrant Foul Penalty 1: Unnecessary contact committed by a player against an opponent
Flagrant Foul Penalty 2: Unnecessary and excessive contact committed by a player against an opponent
When a flagrant foul call is made, referees conduct a review and consider the following:

Whether the foul call be categorized as a flagrant 1 or flagrant 2 (thus ejection) or stay as a common foul or changed to a technical foul
Whether any other players committed unsportsmanlike acts immediately prior to and/or immediately following the foul.

Anyways, back on topic. Lakers lose, Suns cover the -7.5 spread. Kings beat the Grizzlies. Good off day for the Pels.

Bummer, I got in early enough for -7.5. I also had the Kings -2 thinking Ja would be out. Didn't matter as the Kings just barely covered.

Suns interior defense seems weak. We should be able to feast on them. Every time AD went into the paint or someone drove, they would get a foul.

I actually think the Grizz miss Bane as much...or more...than they do Ja.
