This is not Pat’s first time being a bitch like that, and he will be suspended 3-5 games imo. The Jokic cheap shot last year on Morris and now this, the NBA has to set an example.
That is who he is, that he is what he does. I'd bet anything he would never even think of shoving Ayton just like he did if it wasn't from behind. It would be the easiest money ever.

i can't stand when people walk over someone on the ground, both in basketball and football. I'd punch you in the fricking nuts if you did that to me to try to show me up, especially if you want to stand there over me. frick that. Why there aren't more technical fouls or unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for these instances is baffling to me. They've let it go on for so long unpunished that it's pretty much ok to do it now.

It is, which is why Davis should've shoved Ayton away. That's what happens 99% of the time in these situations. Davis did nothing, which is why Pat Bev felt that he had to escalate.

No, he wouldn't have been ejected for pushing Ayton. NBA players push each other all the time. Pat Bev isn't big enough to push Ayton out of the way, and he wasn't close by, so he had to run and slam into Ayton to get him away from Reeves.

A suspension would be for leaving the bench during a brawl, like Amare during the Suns-Spurs series back in the Steve Nash days.
