Yeah no shite, that just shows how good both were that the movie I think is slightly less good is still the best movie to win best picture from 2000-present

There Will Be Blood is top to bottom the better movie. It's PTA at his best. You are taking possibly the worst protagonist in movie history. Plainview is a rotten man to his core. His motives are purely selfish, and his only moments of empathy and care come far too late to matter. But...I can't stop watching him. I want him to beat Standard Oil. I want him to humiliate and bully Eli.

DDL is brilliant in TWBB but if I'm going to sit down and watch a movie for entertainment I would go with No Country.

Both are excellent movies, but if you had a captive bolt stunner to my head and I could only choose one to rewatch, I’d have to go with No Country.

Agree.

And he damn sure would be smart enough not to go back to the desert to give a dead man water.

Believe it or not, I watched them back to back at a theater in Memphis when they came out. Daniel Day Lewis is amazing but No Country is the better movie.

I am a huge Daniel Day Lewis fan . However the correct answer is No Country For Old Men and it isn't even close.

Come on man, it's definitely at least close. TWBB is one of the best movies of the the last 20 years. So is NCFOM.

No Country for Old Men wins by mother fricking miles, even though I also absolutely love There Will be Blood too.

A lot of people don’t know, but they were both filming at the same time outside Marfa, TX

I was watching a behind the scenes and I can’t remember which movie but the director said they had to cut a scene because you could see smoke from an explosion of the other movie in the background

I’m guessing it was probably there will be blood with the explosion

I like No Country for Old Men more by a lot. I've only watched There Will Be Blood once all the way through. Can't stand Paul Dano's character, and hate movies that use weak, sniveling characters like him to make another character look strong.

Blood is a very good, film, but No Country was a more entertaining watch
with Bardem’s great performance, along with Tommie Lee and Harrelson…

Both great films

Yep, I would also throw in Hell or High Water as one that I could rewatch anytime.
