Am really digging this show. As others said, Cavill nails it. And then there is Anya Chalotra (Yennefer). Damn, just damn. And her tits are spectacular.

I've only played The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. Geralt seemed to be one of those characters that leaves a mark on you. He is one of the few characters i'd get a tattoo of if I got a video game tattoo.

I don't do much TV. I watch 1 movie a week with the wife. I told her I would watch this series with her back when I was playing the game. It bridges her tv and my gaming.

Series was good. Story was confusing at first. My wife who is an avid TV series watcher pulled the timelines together before I did. I helped her with some of the back story I recalled. It's been a while since I played Witcher 3. It's downloading now. I may see if I can get the wife to watch the witcher video game stories on youtube.

The pretty boy thing they did with Cavill as Geralt and sexy bitch with Anya as Yennefer was somewhat cheesy. Yennerfer looks like she wants to kiss every person she talks to. Very sexual undertones.

Color signified importance. Yennefers purple eyes, Ciri's Blue cloak and bright colored hair. Geralts yellow eyes. Everything else was a more dull earth tone.

Ole lady is pissed that it's only 8 episodes. She wanted more.

I still have a problem with her shouting to anyone that will listen that she refused to use a body double for sex scenes, well except that one time where there was a sex scene. Yes she is has nice tits, but her body double has a better body and tits.

She is trying to take credit as if she is brave, yet the woman who stood in for her and looks better than her doesn't get any credit, literally not in the credits.

quote:

She told us: ‘I had a body double for the sex scenes, and she was always there. Flora.

“But I didn’t, I only used her for the first sex scene because I realized very quickly in that first sex scene that actually, I didn’t feel comfortable anyone else portraying Yennefer because it’s still acting isn’t it?”

quote:

“The only things that I had to get nude for were the scenes, the transformation scene and other scenes which actually really did develop the story and really need to, you know…”

quote:

All the scenes that Anya then went on to be involved in were "semi-nude", with the only fully-nude scene being the first one performed by the body double.

My only gripe is that Freya Allan may be a bit short to play adult Ciri. In the books Geralt finds her when she's 12.

People are trolling when they talk about how good The Witcher is right? This is laughably bad and cringe. The plot is just dumb, boring and makes no sense half the time. Acting is terrible. It looks about as good as the 90s Hercules and Xenia shows. The choppy, crappy editing drives me crazy. Just looks cheap all around.

I honestly can’t believe anybody would even try to compare this to game of thrones on any level.

The only people who have tried to compare it to GoT are the people that are saying it doesn’t compare.

Why do people always say this like it's a bad thing? Those shows were campy, intentionally, which is I guess why people don't take them seriously, but they were quality fantasy TV. They were wildly successful going straight to syndication without a major network backing them, which isn't easy to do.

It sounds like they followed the source material which was a bunch of short stories. I think they could have benefitted from more episodes to flesh the world out a bit more. It felt like they should have started with a Lord of the Rings style Prologue introducing the world to viewers. But you're going as overboard in your criticism as you think people were in their praise.

Sounds like it’s not for you. You probably shouldn’t watch anymore.

It’s funny most formulaic shows with a single bad guy that gets solved each episode gets tiring after awhile, but this show I think would’ve benefited with being able to do some of that. 13 episodes maybe so we could’ve seen 2-3 more one off monster hunts to expand the cool world and then a few episodes to flesh out/explain the story.

So many cool things they could do but don’t really have time because of the 8 episodes. The one where he hunts the “devil” with Jaskier and gets captured by elves is one of my favorites, even that one they had to use to push the story forward some

I think one of the reasons it's so popular is that the 2nd watch is a lot of fun when you understand some things. I have gotten two people to watch it and they binged, and one is on the 2nd play now.

Yeah, that story got cut in half and was half as good as it could have been. I loved the show, but they really could have benefitted from at least two more episodes to slow things down.

Keep in mind this was a pretty big gamble by Netflix. Now that it's proving to be a huge success, expect things to just get better.

The Witcher 3: Wild hunt on steam just surpassed it's concurrent players today, and has more people playing now than it had at launch..

An amazing feat for an almost 5 year old game and a testament to how good the Netflix series, and this game is.

Toss a coin to your Witcher

That's my biggest gripe. They rushed shite to get Ciri and Yen in. They've admitted it though so hopefully they'll flesh out some of the story lines a little better going forward.

I think I would enjoy to actually see him kill some of the beast he has been hired to hunt and kill. We always see him afterwards all beat up and bloody, except for the princess he saved that was cursed.

Just watched episode one. Can already tell this can be a great one.

The game(3) was absolutely a masterpiece. Hope the show is the same. Really excited to start it.

I like the show so far. It’s been a few years since I’ve played the games and even longer since I was familiar with any of the story, so getting back into all the characters and timelines was a bit of a challenge, but I am enjoying it. Cavill is so good at Geralt it’s eerie. My wife certainly enjoyed hearing me say I wish Triss was a busty redhead
