Prediction:

Pascal will come out some point. That, along with the Surfer being female (who cares about other iterations - people know the Surfer being male) will hurt the box office.

Except she was never Surfer.

And what is the benefit to NOT using the Silver Surfer? He's a fantastic hero. Torn between love, duty, power, etc.

This is all I want, just the og SS that fell in love with a female Nova.

To me, that makes it an even worse concept.

If they are hellbent on a female herald, the original story only needs some minor adjustments...

If they are going with the team already being established at the beginning of the movie, start it off with Johnny introducing Frankie Rae to the team as his girlfriend. They've heard so much about her, she gushes a little over them, mentioning how she thinks what they do is so incredible and how she wishes she had some sort of powers to help save people, blah, blah blah.

Surfer appears in NYC, declares he is the herald of Galactus and Galactus will come to feed on the energies of the planet, big fight against Surfer at the Baxter Building. Surfer has knocked Ben across the river, the rest of the team are knocked out. Surfer decides to finish the job starting with Johnny, Frankie intervenes, gives impassioned plea (plea reminds him of his love for Shalla Bal and why he became the Surfer in the first place). Surfer leaves to "think things out".

Not long after, Galactus appears. FF hurls everything they can at Galactus, he pretty much ignores them. Reed estimates how much time they have before Galactus completes the machine he needs to help him more efficiently harvest Earth's energies. Surfer appears, regrets the monster he's become, etc. Says he cannot attack Galactus but tells Reed about the Ultimate Nullifier, teleports the team to the worldship.

They fight some bots (to keep the action going), obtain the nullifier. Johnny fires off a signal, Norrin teleports them back. Reed confronts Galactus with the Ultimate Nullifier, Galactus backs down but only if Reed gives back the nullifier. Reed does and Galactus destroys it. He will leave but as punishment for his betrayal he will take Norrin's powers back.

Says the Earth is safe... for now, but without his herald to find new worlds for him, he will be forced to return to Earth some day.

Enter: Frankie Rae. She volunteers to be his new herald in order to protect Johnny and the Earth, just as Norrin did for Shalla-Bal and Zenn-La. Galactus agrees, she becomes Nova.

I can’t even defend this shite. fricking terrible. That’s the best they could find to play the fricking Silver Surfer?????
