Also to consider that at the begining of the Pleg book, he and Darth Tenebraus were looking for Curtoisis vein in the cavern when it collapsed on Tenebraus. Plegasis may have been hunting the source from Qimir and may have no interaction with him yet.

Am I doing this right, arguing about EU facts?

Adding to a conversation is not arguing. Anyone that is a Star Wars fan hopes Disney will use EU material when available. Hence Thrawn which was a part of the EU. And to discuss the difference between canon and EU is no issue. I think the issue is when Disney goes off script from their so-called canon.

Again, the disappointing part for so many is that the EU is so rich in material and Disney fails to recognize it.

I enjoyed the last episode but maybe that has more to do with the potential it showed if another season comes out. Again there is always hope.

Rule of Two

Are we totally ignoring that Vader trained Starkiller in secret while Palpatine was still kicking?

The rule of two has already been broken before.

Vader was apprentice to Sidious and was training Ventriss and Starkiller if that's canon

I love Starkiller, but that dude had max stats and would be ridiculous to bring into canon.

They really teased Plagueis 10 mins in and not a damn thing for the rest of the episode. frick these people.

Green chick has got to go, worst actress on earth, and the twink Jedi can go too. Can't imagine him swinging a lightsaber.

Can we also retire Osha and Mae now

I think one of the worst things that started with Lucas in the prequels and Clone Wars (albeit still a great show) and has since been kicked into overdrive by Disney, is this constant need to make the Jedi not only look incompetent, but at times make them borderline evil…. All for the sake of explaining how the sith got them pre-empire and pre-first order.

It’s not necessary to constantly play that trope, because at some point, it makes what Obi-wan and Luke were fighting for look like they should’ve never been fighting for.

All in all:

Eps 1&2: passable
Eps 3&4: dogshit
Eps5: Very good
Eps 6: passable
Eps 7: dogshit
Eps 8: pretty good.

I think there’s enough there from 5 and 6 and 8 to build off of but they REALLY need to stick to the Sith stuff next season (if there is one) and basically get an entirely new writer’s room, showrunner and get better actresses and actors more on par with Lee Jung Jae (Sol) and Manny Jacinto. Those two acted circles around everyone not named Carrie Ann-Moss (and she was barely in it.) If they do that, I’ll be in on Season 2. If they don’t do that, I’m probably out. Maybe now that Leslye is done fulfilling her self-insert fan fiction, she can finally focus on writing an actual good story on the Sith.

Side note: I really enjoyed the actor who played the senator who confronted the green Jedi. I hope he’s around more. In fact, I hope there’s way more politics and unrest throughout the galaxy about the Jedi

I agree. I get it. You want to give depth and nuance to the Jedi. They have flaws. They’re only human. But the way they portray their flaws is careless and only shows the period of how fricked up they were for only a certain period of time. We really need a Captain America moment from Age of Ultron when he sees the SHIELD carrier come in and rescue survivors and he says “this is what SHIELD is supposed to be” but that for the Jedi

Hopefully James Mangold gives us a positive story on the Jedi.

Yeah I think it’s taken way too literally. It’s a principal meant to prevent extinction. So while someone like Yoda might address it as “where there’s a master there’s also an apprentice” he really means is “where there’s one there’s at least another.” Like cockroaches.

That's Leslye (Former personal assistant to Harvey Weinstein) Headland's partner. AKA Jedi Master Nepo. (Nepotism)

She's not going anywhere.

Episode 3 and 7 were both flashbacks but 7 was a much better episode imo.

So Yoda is now a Jedi who is comfortable with a massive coverup.

No one ever asks any questions about a large number of Jedi being killed?

Everyone goes to a Jedi’s funeral in the prequels, yet no one attends the funeral of three Jedi masters, several knights, and a padawan? They are simply forgotten and everyone goes along with a giant coverup?

Master Nepo lies to the council and senate and no one asks any questions?

This show was written by people who have never watched Star Wars and are hacks.

I can’t believe this piece of crap cost 180 million.

Possibly the worst written show in the history of television

Please elaborate here. Vader did take Starkiller as his apprentice but that is not in canon just the EU. But Ventress who was once a padawan become the apprentice of Dooku for a time in canon.

In the EU she did kill Dooku and became the apprentice of Darth Sidious under the name of Darth Vindicaa. I believe Sidious claimed that he was Starkiller's true master as the plan to be Vader's was part of his scheme, but this Starkiller only found out once he had returned to kill Sidious as a Jedi no longer Starkiller a Sith

Here's what I find amazing: The Acolyte, where a middle manager (DEI promote?) covers up the reemergence of the Sith, a vergence in the Force and a whole bunch of murders, is at-best only the second-biggest scandal in Jedi history;

With the way this show ended, they must be pretty confident they are going to get a season 2.

Do y'all think it was Plagueis who created the twins and does that sort of calm the outcry over Anakin's backstory being ruined? Plagueis "had the power to create life itself" and Sol kept saying how he couldn't understand how they were created.

With the Plagueis cameo, seems pretty obvious Plagueis made them and was probably controlling/manipulating the witches.
