The Massie haters calling people who appreciated a consistent and reliable small government vote a “cult” is rich.
One of the instances where I’ll leave my libertarian sensibilities at the door and endorse this idea.

Marshall Islands?

Total GDP (latest estimates)

* Nominal GDP: about $280–320 million USD per year
* GDP (PPP): roughly $350–400 million USD
Retarded. Republicans deserve to lose if they keep this up

There’s one person on that list whose voting record is almost the exact opposite of the others.

Look—just because you support Trump (I do too) doesn’t mean you have to abandon free-market and conservative principles to go after someone who’s been on the right side of nearly every major vote. Disagreeing with Trump on a single bill doesn’t suddenly erase a consistently pro-liberty record. On economic issues especially, Massie isn’t just different—he’s operating on an entirely different level.

What’s surprising isn’t just the backlash—it’s how fragile and, frankly, how ideologically inconsistent and flat out hypocritical parts of the modern conservative movement have become.
You mean the person who wore ridiculous face protection to Congress during the Wuhan virus outbreak is a shill for big pharma?

No way
I bet can find 1000 things that Massie has said or done that would have made that little twink cry.

The real communist and hardcore leftist are absolutely thrilled that Massie will be gone.
Because most on this board are FDR conservatives
I hope he does. And I think he may. And I will 100% vote for him

The anti Massie crowd are retarded
A fraud with a damn near perfect voting record
Massie is likely going to win.

I voted for Trump, and I don’t regret it. But I don’t understand how someone can claim to support small government, free markets, and conservative principles—and at the same time have such intense hostility toward Thomas Massie.

He was the lone vote against the COVID stimulus—the policy that helped ignite the inflation we’re still dealing with. If you asked which member of Congress has most consistently voted for individual liberty and economic restraint, Massie would be near the top of that list.

Same with the Second Amendment—few, if any, have been more consistently aligned with it. If we had a Congress full of Massies- this would be the most conservative free market nation to ever exist. A literal small government wet-dream.

But he dares to criticize some of Trump’s moves—at a near-infinitesimal fraction of the rate he criticized Biden or Obama—and suddenly he’s the worst person in Congress.

That’s not principled disagreement—it’s loyalty overriding standards. And when this gets downvoted, it’ll only reinforce the point.

Dumping millions into kicking out the most small government person in congress instead of using it to fight wacko leftist seems like a plan the democrats would employ.

It’s going to be funny when he wins by 7 or more points

Rates should have been higher for the last 30 years- but no politician has the guts to say it or try to encourage it.
Odysseus performs a blood ritual in the underworld where he meets his mother, Achilles, Ajax, Agamemnon, and others. He must seek Tiresias to receive a prophecy in order to return home.

Achilles delivers one of the most hard hitting lines of either work during this encounter. She is very likely playing Achilles in this scene and it’s absolutely retarded that is happening.

And the more I hear about this movie and see it’s 250 million+ budget- I’m beginning to believe this one doesn’t return a profit

Also I may be in the minority here- but when doing an adaptation of classical material, it helps to not use modern American accents. There is a reason a classic British accent is used so often for material like this- it just works. The modern American accents and vernacular, the Asian, sub-Saharan, Indian, and Latino faces, and from what I’ve read possibly even trap music- will take anyone who actually enjoys being immersed into a late Bronze Age era completely out of it. I’m really bummed about this one. I love the work and Nolan. I’ve read or listened to multiple translations of it, outside of one in particular (the one Nolan allegedly leaned on) they all bring something different and special to the experience.

Maybe he will make a movie about the Zulu wars and cast Brad Pitt to play the Zulu king next.
I always liked Funny Farm- and tend to use the dog situation in that movie as an example often.
