Im just dropping in to say that I'm purposely not reading this thread bc I love this show so much I don't want my enjoyment to be tainted by learning any potential spoilers or theories beyond my own. I look forward to the discussion after this season is done.

2. With that glitch you gotta think they all in a room laid out on lab tables hooked up to nuralink Matrix style.

I do think it was some form of simulation, and they weren’t really outside.

Another mis-step by Milchick.
Cobel stated he couldn’t run the severed floor and so far he’s proving her right. The replacement team was a disaster and now he almost got Helena killed. The board will not view him favorably. Does this open the door for Cobel to return to her old post?
Who replaces Irv?
What did he mean by “Hang in there?”
Others are complaining about the reintegration, but we have no idea how it works. We saw a small bit of reintegration sickness in Mark, and potentially so did Helena.
Who else is integrated? Agabi didn’t just “get better” that involves practice. Was Irv? The rest on his outie’s map?
People who say this didn’t move the story forward are small thinkers and need the plot spoon fed to them.

Irving already had his outie bleeding over when he would see the black paint coming in everywhere so he might be reintegrated or severance isn’t quite as permanent as lumon thinks. We also don’t know who his outie is communicating with on the phone.

How can Helena get pregnant if it’s a simulation?
If Irv is dreaming during a simulation, that’s some Inception level shite.
The cool thing about this show is it’s so calculated and detailed, that even when the last episode seemed like filler, I was thinking to myself there’s no way it is because that’s not how it rolls.

There’s a poster in the new break room with a picture of Dylan that shows him holding onto the two switches for the OTC in the s1 finale. The poster says “Hang In There” at the bottom, so I assume Irv put something behind it in the frame.

Didn’t she run away in fear of Lumon killing / abducting her (or something else?) when Helena asked her to come chat with the board? Seems unlikely that she would go back to Lumon.

I do not think it is an inception type of simulation, more of a Star Trek holodeck simulation. They were awake.
Irv's dream sequence though, was probably just that. His subconscious was piecing it together while sleeping.
