Would have been fun to see that on TV

The TV direction for this weekend's race, and really the whole season, has been really bad. They showed Kimi overtaking Leclerc about 10 minutes after it happened. It was so late they thought it was Kimi overtaking Lewis despite the screen showing that it happened 10 laps earlier. They didn't show Sainz carving his way up to 10th after he put on the softs. They only showed Lewis's brakes going out and not Alonso chasing him down on that last lap. It was really poorly put together this week.

Just saw this thread. Not setting a goal but I'm at 7 so far

1. Dune - Frank Herbert
2. The Sentence is Death - Anthony Horowitz
3. Recursion - Blake Crouch
4. The Sun Does Shine - Anthony Ray Hinton
5. Dune Messiah - Frank Herbert
6. Slow Horses - Mick Herron
7. Dead Lions - Mick Herron
lol just a bit outside but I will take it
That wasn’t even a good frame job. Catcher moved his glove like 3 feet. I can’t believe this umpire is getting fooled by this.

From the article (this was me)

Perhaps the 500 moving to FOX, combined with the Coca-Cola 600 leaving FOX for Amazon Prime Video, played a role. With the 600 leaving broadcast television and the 500 essentially taking its place on FOX, perhaps some of the traditional NASCAR audience opted for IndyCar this year.

I'm curious how the blackout being lifted in the Indianapolis area due to the sellout boosted these ratings.

I went this year and it was my first 500. I didn't really get into racing until a few years ago. I went to a NASCAR race in 2012 but I was just tagging along with friends. It was fun but I wasn't into racing so I didn't appreciate it as much as I could have.

But holy shite, the Indy 500 was just a completely different experience. That was the best sporting event I've ever been to. The energy of the sellout crowd building up to the start of the race was very palpable. I sat low in turn 4 so I got a good sense of that speed up close and I can't stop watching the couple of videos I took during the race. I definitely plan on going back in the future.

i know nothing of the sport but it’s seems like such a passionate environment to be around

It’s truly one of the most intense environments in sports. The semis/blood round session is the best round and the biggest emotional roller coaster. I’d encourage anyone to go to that tournament if given the opportunity

What did he mean by “Hang in there?”

There’s a poster in the new break room with a picture of Dylan that shows him holding onto the two switches for the OTC in the s1 finale. The poster says “Hang In There” at the bottom, so I assume Irv put something behind it in the frame.
Yep you’re right. My brain said Austria and my fingers said Austin. Thanks

Yeah. Oscar raced every lap this season. The only time I remember Lando going out is when Max punted him in Austin
lol yep that is exactly what is going on

Toto chimes in. This is incredible. The season is so long that everyone is just sick of each other’s shite.

So it’s obviously not great if max threatened to put him in the wall. But how am I supposed to take George seriously as a hard-arse if he’s out here using words like “whilst”
On his onboard it sounded like something popped or cut out and caused the spin. It was weird because it was before the safety car even ended

Potential Piastri penalty for pit entry violation PRE-race. What is happening?
I mean, Ferrari also got fricked by the safety car decision, too.
What a clown show from the FIA.
