Reign of Fire was fricking fantastic. Bale and McConaughey were both great.

This.

It's hard to count childhood movies. I liked Mac and Me, and would probably still enjoy the nostalgia of it.

Greedy

It’s a dark comedy with a fairly good cast in which elderly Uncle Joe (Kirk Douglas) is richer than Hell and constantly has his nieces, nephews, and their families kissing his arse hoping to be left the fortune.

When his doctor dies and he hires a new nurse (Olivia D’abo) who likes sunbathing in the nude, they find their cousin Danny (Michael J Fox), son of Joe’s estranged brother, to try and talk sense into him since none of them have any credibility after years of infighting.

There is a good amount of B and C level talent around including, but not limited to Phil Hartman, Nancy Travis, Ed Begley Jr, Colleen Camp (Apocalypse Now, Clue, Wayne’s World), Jere Burns (Dear John, Burn Notice, Justified), Kirsten Dunst, Siobhan Fallon (SNL), and Khandi Alexander (NewsRadio, ER).

The main reason I like the movie is to see Phil Hartman playing a complete and utter scumbag in such comedic fashion.

Striptease.

Don't get me wrong, Demi Moore looked incredible. But Burt Reynolds was hysterical as the drunk, Florida congressman obsessed with her. The plot is dumb...because it's really just a T&A movie. But I laughed my arse off several times.

in the last several years I've had a hard time finding people who like it. most women in 30s and 40s hate it. i think it just hasnt aged well in the bully sensitive world we're in.

I'll see your "Club Dread" and raise you "Club Paradise".

the one time I watched it, I don't think I've laughed any harder.

Well shite. No. I twisted myself on what the topic was.

I'll leave it and not edit it though, as to wallow in my shame.

Never seen Greedy but seeing that and Shallow Hal above (which is great by the way) reminded me of one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Envy with Ben Stiller and Jack Black. Thought it was going to be the funniest movie ever and it was awful.

The first hour or so when they are in Vegas, is fricking great. Then it drops off for me.

I can see that, but the final scene is fricking fantastic.

When it came out it was considered a bomb based on Jim Carrey being at the height of his powers.

I thought it was great, so bought it.

6.1 on IMDB
51% Audience score on RT

Grossed $60 million with an estimated budget of $47 million.

Its definitely grown a cult following.
