Video game series' done right will be the new thing after people get tired of disappointment in comic book films.

Done right is always the key.

The borderlands film for instance, could make a lot of money.

I can only imagine the discussions that led to this...
"after a rocky start, we got Wonder Woman right, and it seems people generally liked Affleck as Batman, even though he killed too many people in BvS. So, what's the plan going forward?

I know, let's scrap everything and restart yet again"

Has anyone checked on Fewer Kilometers?

DCEU is royally fricked up. I think they are just putting out JLA and saying, frick it. stand alone character movies will be their plan moving forward. Kind of like Nolan's success.

I really have no clue wtf they are doing anymore.

They fricked it all up the day they gave Zack Snyder the keys to this whole thing.

They fricked it up even more not firing him after MoS was a disaster.

You can always count on him to defend the steaming pile of shite that's called the people running the DCEU.

They finally hit a home run with a good movie in Wonder Woman and are finally moving away from Zack Snyder and what do they do now?

Why of course, let's further break apart the DCEU and confuse people even more with two Batmen!

There is no plan. WB is throwing whatever they can against the wall to see what sticks. Yesterday's announcement along with this one pretty much confirm that for me.

Is the objective to keep the Actors/Actresses pay lower? Do they see the money RDJ gets for Ironman and worry? This is just dumb.

All I'm seeing is that the movie will be standalone. Nowhere is it confirmed that Affleck isn't starring. Your link even has an update where they admit that they screwed up and made an assumption.

Gotham, animated movies, CW live action series, DC Extended Universe, and now stand alone Batman films.

This is going to be confusing to general audiences not in the know.

I mean they are all successful in their own right, but it's painfully obvious that Warner Brothers did want to have an interconnected film Universe that was treated with the same respect as Marvel. Lack of personnel and patience appears to be the main contributing factor as to why their universe comes off as second-rate.

Universals Furious franchise is taken more serious than this and it began as B movie trash.

Honestly, just torch everything but Wonder Woman at this point and start from scratch. Just pretend that the prologue in that movie never happened. We know Justice League is going to suck.

I really think it might go down as the single biggest frick up in cinematic history. Why not give it to someone like Bruce Timm?

But instead the dumb frick right out of the gates decides to do The Dark Knight Returns and Superman Doomsday despite making absolutely no sense from a narrative standpoint, not to mention we pretty much just had the former in the form of The Dark Knight Rises.

The second link now says that the story may not be true, that they may have incorrectly reported. Did WBs see the article and clarify their intentions to the reporter?
