The second link now says that the story may not be true, that they may have incorrectly reported. Did WBs see the article and clarify their intentions to the reporter

I really want to start writing fake news about the DC universe just to see how gullible the people on places like TD are, because there seems to be a fake report every week these days and the same 10 people believing it

Video game series' done right will be the new thing after people get tired of disappointment in comic book films.

Done right is always the key.

The borderlands film for instance, could make a lot of money.

I typically don't engage in Marvel/DC comparisons. I generally enjoy both and keep them in their own boxes when talking about plans moving forward.

But yeah, DC is playing BYU to Marvel's LSU right now. And we all know how ugly that one is gonna get.

All I'm seeing is that the movie will be standalone. Nowhere is it confirmed that Affleck isn't starring. Your link even has an update where they admit that they screwed up and made an assumption.

WB/DC has never even had a reasonable "plan."

frick...at this point it's obviously they don't even have a "pl."

But, I'm sure this is some nefarious Marvel fan boy plot...right?

Why not give it to someone like Bruce Timm?

Would have been so easy, and would have absolutely guaranteed that the guy that had gotten their two biggest characters SO RIGHT in various animated versions would have steered them in the right direction...I'd loved to know if he was ever even considered.

Whole thing makes me...

The Hollywood Reporter has corrected the story (that all of the other sites were citing) and pulled the portion stating that Affleck was out and The Batman wasn't in the DCEU. Now there's no mention of The Batman movie at all.

quote:

Aug. 23, 6:40 p.m. An earlier version of this story stated that Matt Reeves' The Batman was part of Warner Bros.' new label and would star a new actor as Batman, but it is unclear where that project will fall.

That's like saying the original Titanic voyage wasn't a disaster because hey, they sold tickets and people went.

it's seriously getting ridiculous - luckily the morons on this site who eat this shite up is the minority and not the majority. I'm not even a huge fan of the DCEU, you can even find my post about it in the past, but anytime one of these stories comes out I just ignore it now. We have to be up to like 95% of articles written about the DCEU being completely baseless and retarded at this point. STOP BEING SO GODDAMN GULLIBLE YOU frickING IDIOTS

Are you sure about that?

Most of the people on this board seem to be members of the Cult of Marvel. They can do no wrong and the DCEU can do no right.

This is pretty absurd. My take is that the majority of posters who comment on a regular basis seem to think that Age of Ultron, IM 2 and 3, Thor 2, and Dr. Strange (at a minimum) were all fair lackluster for various reasons. To say that people think they can "do no wrong" is not really accurate.

You wanna know why no one takes your opinions on this topic seriously...? Despite the many MANY times this idiotic suggestion have been refuted, it still keeps being tossed out.

What's more likely is that those of us who have been less than pleased with what DC has trotted out are, in actuality, really big DC fans and are heartbroken they've fricked this up so badly.

I'm actually tired of repeating this...kind of feel like I need to type it all out, keep it somewhere as a Word doc and then just copy and paste the fricking this ever time this red herring it dropped on here as an excuse for why people don't like DC's movies.

Since a kid I've loved DC over Marvel. Batman is the greatest hero of all time to me. But this decision is fricking dumb and might kill the franchise for years
