Mayor of Kingstown is pretty good but it also completely over the top. Had to take a break after season 1 and haven't picked it back up. Reading the description of Landman and hearing Billy Bob talk about it it seems like it's pretty much the same show/premise as Mayor of Kingstown except it's the oil field instead of prison.
I think the one I might actually like is Lioness but his other stuff is so ridiculous I have a hard time even starting it.
Mayor of Kingstown S1 was actually good, S2 trended down, and S3 was mostly unwatchable, done with that one as the plot lines are just too damn stupid. Lioness S1 good, didn't like S2 at all, probably done. Land Man and 1923 I like a lot, think LM might be Sheridan's current best writing work and great casting for what it is. People can vehemently DV the F out of me, but I really like Tulsa King, it has some very good scenes and funny shite and it's definitely not to be taken seriously.

It’s entertainment. And honestly some of it isn’t as far fetched as you think.
Hell I know stuff that’s happened in the catfish industry that’s no different than the scenarios portrayed in Landman.

1883
I have a question about the timing of events on this show.
There's an episode where Elsa says April something 1883 is the day she was born.
So, if she was born in 1883 and is now 17, does that mean the events we are watching happened in like 1900?

Angela needs to go. What is her purpose other than being an annoying gold-digging, foul-mouthed, whore?

Yellowstone ruined it but I really like 1883, 1923, Lioness, Tulsa King and Landman

On another note, is there anyone in the business more full of himself than Sheridan? Absolutely NOT!

I might give S2 a shot eventually, but everything else he's done tells me it's probably not worth it.

My 70 year old dad loves it. We were all in new orleans this weekend and when at the condo my dad had it on in the background. I caught some scenes of maybe 30 minutes of it. Don't know what season or what episode but in those 30 minutes it seemed like the worst show that I have ever watched. I mean just laughably bad. My wife, who pretty much only watches mindless or corny stuff, was even talking about how bad it was. I don't think you could pay me good money to try and finish that show.

He puts off "my wife and I saw you across the bar and really like your vibe" kind of energy.

Yellowstone was laughably bad, I couldn't even finish the first season.
Every time I told someone I couldn’t watch it or even get through the first season they looked at me like I have a horn growing out of my forehead.

His writing is clearly better than Hollywood.
Tell me you don’t know cinema w/o telling me…

Yellowstone- started great… lost the plot. Still finished but they made some very odd choices story wise.
1883 was my favorite. Amazing show
1923 was very good and excited about new season
Lioness I’ve really enjoyed and doesn’t even really have any “Sheridan” dna in the show.
Landman, I think this could become the biggest of them all. BBT delivers epic monologues and the supporting cast is amazing.
Haven’t got a chance to watch Mayor of Kingstown or Tulsa King yet but I’ve heard good things.
Also movie wise I really liked Sicario and Hell or High Water.
And he’s got some cool stuff coming too, 6666 show, The Madison, 1944, and empire of the summer moon show…
So if you’re tired of him… sorry

Yes cbs/paramount hitched their wagon to him for better or worse. So far even with the redundancy of his shows…paramount streaming numbers have been good so he must still be making them money.

Re-read my message. I’m defending him. I like all of his work as it’s clearly better than current Hollywood remakes & liberal junk.

No they are awesome. Sicario is amazing and I hear Wind River is really good too. I think I'll give it a watch tonight.
