But he wont. It is amazing how ignorant this board can be, and how theyd take the 10 side in a 90/10 issue.
Regardless, there are many of us that want Stanky to move on to other things or retire. He has been well behind numerous situations this year.

Must be a lot of variance state to state on pricing etc. My wife and I are in NM and we go through the state ACA called BeWell. We have excellent coverage and pay just under $17/month total for both of us. I should say the current governor has utilized state surplus O&G income to subsidize the program depending on income status. We have found the quality of care is very good in this state compared to Georgia where we lived. I'll be on medicare by mid-2028 so not much concern to me.
I have 3 sisters, they have never been good at building wealth whereas my wife and I (61 & 63) reached over $6M in investments 3 years ago. Not having kids made things easier and neither of us regret our decision on that and I'm glad I early retired 2 weeks before hitting 48 back then. We're down 3 parents, my dad is 91 and still kicking, my mother died at 56 in 2008 to early onset ALZ. Just saying have some fun on the way to building all that wealth.

Yep, that Dobe looks about right. That guy with the 3 Dobe's on social media is funny. This is Lutie that we got from the Santa Fe shelter, I call him Biggie, goes to bed at 8 pm like clockwork, definitely not a guard dog.

some breeds are certainly more capable of causing severe injury and/or death than other breeds, and a American Staffordshire Terrier is certainly one of those. Same can be said for many others, including a Doberman, German Shepherd, Belgium Malinois, Rottweiler, Cane Corso, etc
Nope, Dobermans do not belong on your list. Wife and I have had 3 Dobes we got from Doberman rescue groups. My dad had a 92 lb Dobe he got from a breeder in TN and had it trained prior to having it transported to MS. He weighed 92 lbs and was lean and never had a problem and liked playing with our 1st Dobe. We haven't had any issues with Dobes at all other than most are lucky to reach 8 - 9 years. Had a Pointer/Pittie mix, she was awesome and sweet and had a great nose. Have a Pittie/whippet mix that is pushing 15 years and she can still compete in scent work trials. Some people shouldn't have dogs and their dogs end up in shelters and are frequently euthanized. That woman looks like a real winner. :spank:

Yes or no?
Yes. I bought one 8/6/2024 that was made in Japan and had it trucked/transported from a dealer in Cypress, TX to my house in Santa Fe. People claiming it has little power are full of shite, the torque will put you back in your seat. It goes like a billy goat in CO, through ice/snow up/down switch backs, etc. Passed at least 8 significant wrecks through a lot of snow with poor visibility going to Gunnison for a K9 trial, had to break ice and snow out of the wheel wells to keep going, etc.
It does have a stiff suspension, some may not like that (like my wife). I get roughly 19 mpg all around running 91 octane, but that is a lot of mountain driving and living at 7,400 altitude. Only problem I have had was the windshield cracked in about 14 degree weather and had it replaced for $800 which was a good deal. If you have long legs you may not like the bottom seat. Get on the Landcruiser forum and you can get an idea what owners think about the LC. Need to follow the break-in period on the oil, it stinks like hell on the first change.

Beers while cooking
I have a sister that lives in Prairieville and she said the most difficult thing is finding a reputable roof company, she had to fire 2 bad companies to get the 3rd one that did good work.
I live in Santa Fe and we sold our first house on the NW side of town after 2 years when insurance companies started dropping coverage in SF after the CA fire, State Farm was going to drop us. Moved across town over to the SE area to a community with 18 houses with very large plots. Had to use a broker that went through 7 insurers to find one that would insure a 3100 sq foot 29 yr old home but only at $725k with Travelers which is about half of what it would take to rebuild the entire house.
Our broker was able to get our 3/1/2026 renewal with Travelers increased to $1M dwelling + $100k on other structures etc. We have a $10k deductible with $4,266.00 premium. Fingers crossed to 3/1/2027. It's funny how insurers keep sending 6-month vehicle coverage quotes with zero interest in HO policies.

So what keeps you going back?
This summer was so hot in Santa Fe/ABQ I was glad to know where I could bring my dogs inside the breweries, get a few brews and food, and head back. I'm still seeing numerous breweries producing new beers and La Cumbre is always producing different Project Dank variants quarterly of La Cumbre. 2nd Street put out a new IPA that was only sold at the mother ship and it sold out in 5 weeks. Even the cinema at the Railyard has ~ 20+ different beers on tap (some from out of state) and you can walk for about 4 minutes to either brewery/food across the track.
Santa Fe brewing has 3 different locations. Some things are in the eye of the beholder. I still miss the Porter Beer bar in little 5 Points in ATL, that place is never going to go out of style/business for what they do. Look up their menu online and you will see what I am saying, they have beer lockers too.

That's why I early retired 16 years ago at 47. No kids makes life a lot easier. Health insurance is still cheap as shite so far in NM.

Went to ABQ Boxing Bear award winning Golden Gloves Helles, SBD was Coldie! cold IPA and missed out on last 2 - 4 packs, settled for 2×4 packs of Wiggle Piggle pale ale instead. Found this 15 lb prime brisket and 6 bottles of brown at Costco for upcoming Tiger ball before heading back to the Fe.
