Shark is a pretty dependable starter that probably won't cost a whole lot. I would definitely be OK with him coming back to Chicago as a 3-4 for the next few years.

Of the several teams eyeing Athletics right-hander Sonny Gray in advance of the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, the Brewers have shown the most interest, reports Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe

The Cardinals, Dodgers and Royals seem to be leading the chase for Tigerscontract-year slugger J.D. Martinez, according to Cafardo.

Along with the previously reported Astrosand Nationals, the Red Sox are interested in Tigers closer Justin Wilson, writes Cafardo.

ontinuing the Tigers theme, righty Michael Fulmer is the Detroit starter who’s garnering the most attention from pitcher-needy teams, per Cafardo.

The Braves are among teams with interest in Rangers infielder/outfielder Jurickson Profar, who is seemingly available, reports FanRag’s Jon Heyman. The Rangers are looking for pitching, suggests Heyman, who notes that the Braves have a potentially on-the-move veteran in Jaime Garcia at the big league level and plenty of arms in the minors.

Sorry, not buying it. The only player they have shown interest in, is their ShortStop. They aren't giving away prospects for a rental, who could sign else where.
They aren't 1 bat away, and not a contender.

people still believe his potential is there.
He was #1/1A prospect in all of baseball not 2 long ago. some think he can still show his talent, and is still young.
Braves looking to buy low and hope for returns. As long as they dont give anything of value up, not a bad move.

Yeah he's 24 and extremely versatile defensively. If he can hit just a bit he's a valuable guy to have even if he doesn't become the superstar people thought he would

And if it's for Jaime Garcia, it's a no loss situation. Jaime is not in the plans for Braves future starting 5.
He's basically a guy to fill out one of the starting 5, till they get or bring up his replacement.

First they let go of Bartolo Colon, now they want a broken Verlander. Was Jamie Moyer not answering the phone this weekend?

A Profar deal would be a great buy low deal for the Braves, but it would probably only follow a Albies deal for a young pitcher.
Id be ok with a Profar/Camargo future at 2nd if we get a young pitcher out of it.
