Are those teams getting a higher salary cap? I don't see players wanting to sign there. What division would the Mexico City team be in?
I don't see how it can work unless the teams are put in Canada. I would much rather see some new teams in the US where the game originated. And belongs.
I don't remember how much parking was, but it wasn't much. If anything. I got there early. And took a walk around the whole place. I also like that there was an enclosed bar if you wanted to beat the heat. And it had the biggest bobblehead collection I have ever seen. I think there were fireworks after the game too. I really want to go back someday.
The stadium at Quad Cities is incredible. The location right on the river, and all the quirks and character it has makes it one of the best stadiums I have ever went to. I loved sitting behind home plate seeing the bridge in the background. And there's a cornfield down the LF line. I never got on the ferris wheel, but it was tempting. I even had a nice chat sitting next to a family of a Cubs and Brewers fan before the game. I was just thinking last night one of the few things I miss about living in IA is going to Quad Cities games.
I'm the same way. I'll watch if my team is on one of the primary networks. But I rarely watch all the other teams I used to watch. All the bullshite ads keep multiplying. And makes the games far less enjoyable to watch than they used to be.
Exactly. It cracks me up so many pretend concessions are expensive at only baseball games. When the reality is, they're expensive for all the other leagues too. Not only that, one could easily avoid that by grabbing something somewhere else before or after the game. The food mostly sucks at the stadium anyway. It never added anything to the "experience" for me. The only "experience" I needed at a game was the roar of the crowd. And the crack of the bat. I was just grateful my dad bought me a ticket. That alone was enough for me. We ate at home before the game. And that was fine with me.
I wish him the best. But the trade now opens up a spot for Baez.
What was the other stuff he wasn't good at?
Bloom had a good day at the office. The 2 prospects from the Brewers are now top 10 in the system via MLB Pipeline.
I'm seeing more and more shitty ads during the games. So I'll go with no.

The only difference is the Dodgers actually win championships. And Texas A&M doesn't.

I'm amazed the Dodgers never run out of quality prospects to get whomever they want whenever they want. Whatever their scouts are paid, it's not enough.
What a bummer that is. Hopefully, someone just as hot replaces her.

I have no idea why the other thread was nuked. I wish Topps would go back to having the numbering on the back. Or at least the front corner.

The difference is probably that Nike was at least manufacturing the jerseys and equipment. Just like the back of helmets said Riddell. Not quite the same as just paying to slap your logo everywhere.

Bingo. Nike has been making football equipment for ages. It's not the hideous eyesore all the other crap that has nothing to do with athletics.
And it predictably looks like shite.
I was just thinking to myself we just don't watch enough shitty arse ads over the course of a 3.5 hour game.
Gray usually sucks arse. But at least NFL uniforms aren't tarnished with shitty ads...yet.
Glenallen Hill is the only player I have ever seen send a moonshot onto the rooftop apartments.
