I find it interesting we abandoned the space shuttle and went back to 50s capsule tech for reentry.
SpaceX is doing the same with Dragon that ferries astronauts to the space station and back. A capsule with a splashdown or a landing in Russia is the keep it simple option.

At best Trump is Joe Paterno because by his own admission a couple of times he knew what his buddy was up to. And he didn't do anything about it.
According to a Wash Post reporter who talked to Trump this afternoon, Melania didn't tell the President what she was going to do. My guess is that he was livid when he found out.

Dude looked like a top 5 player in the world the other day against the spurs. Just one thing after another with his body.
Yeah he's been playing great after everybody wrote him off but can't seem to catch a break like in the playoffs a couple of years ago when he got Bell's Palsy at the same time his leg was about to fall off.

This post is America in a nutshell. People that have no clue what they are talking about calling the people that have done the studies on things stupid.
This is probably a robust study done by Univ of Wisconsin researchers on 2600 high school players with about half wearing the caps.
They didn't find any difference in concussion rates between those who wore them and those who didn't. There have been lab tests that showed they might help a little when hit from certain directions but one I read found that it was because the caps slipped on contact, not because the extra cushioning did anything.
The UW study mentioned extra jaw padding as maybe being beneficial but the bottom line is that really the only way to guarantee brain health is to limit head jarring contact as much as possible.

Cease fires suck. We should stop at nothing short of regime change. Which is what I think will happen. IDK.
I do know that if the IRGC isn't dismantled I will be pissed that we ever started stirring up shite. If you aren't going to finish the job then don't go in and waste billions of dollars and make things worse than before.
Is it possible without a massive amount of boots on the ground. The combined Iranian forces could deploy up to a half a million troops. That could be a brutal quagmire waiting to happen.

An actual ceasefire cannot exist with the Islamic hardliners still in control in Iran.
How much control does any faction have at this point. If there's no definite command structure in place there may not be any hope for a ceasefire to stick.

The funny part is that she also has a reputation of getting half of her reporting wrong so she either sucks or she sucks.

Nothing like his 1st term. He lies, he doesn’t put America first, he scapegoats all his hires who were completely loyal to him doing everything exactly the way he wanted. He is just as corrupt as the knuckleheads in Congress. I hope we can find someone in 2028 that will do the job the way 2016 Trump did.
His first term wasn't that great either.
The tax bill was a big plus but he celebrated prematurely and Obamacare reform failed. No infrastructure bill passed. Covid response was a mess. North Korea was a brilliant move but wasn't followed-up so they are still belligerent.

Imagine if you bought a super expensive high performance sports car and half the time the thing doesn't go like you expect when you step on the accelerator because the battery is being recharged. It would be maddening.
