Of course she's a humanities professor.
Her PhD thesis was Deterritorializing Gender in Sydney's Breakdancing Scene: A B-girl's Experience of B-boying. Everything she does is a joke.
Her dad was hilarious in that trailer though.

She's a really good singer but her voice is super generic compared to Cornell.
Slaves and Bulldozers is the jam. That may be the best vocal track in the history of humanity.

There's still CTE risk with soccer.
I loved playing football but it's really not any different than ramming your head into a wall repeatedly. If you saw a kid doing that you'd make him stop.

Howard Cosell sucked.
When I was a kid I didn't realize it but he was just a pundit who really didn't know shite about football. I've watched old games on Youtube over the years and Cosell was the white version of Stephen A without the screaming. Bad take after bad take.

You know it's bad when fans are seeing Shedeur as the good guy in the situation.

Not to be all "a champion wouldn't"
But I dont think Max or Lewis move over. They run their race and make the challenger pass.

Kimi was on fresh softs. If George didn't let him by there was a chance that Lewis could have passed both of them.

Charles fricking around when Lewis had better tires didn't help Ferrari's podium chance. I think he even stayed out a lap after he was told to box.
re: Did Tennessee get the best high school running back prospect ever?
Posted by Diseasefreeforall on 8/21/26 at 11:54 am to MoarKilometers
I went to some kind of awards dinner in Birmingham after Bo's senior year in HS and he was already a superstar. It was like being in the room with an NFL Hall of Famer even before he got to Auburn. It's hard to overstate the excitement around him coming out of high school.
re: Why is BJ Penn considered one of the greatest UFC lightweight fighters of all time?
Posted by Diseasefreeforall on 8/20/26 at 10:06 pm to bcoop199
Seemed to me like he loved fighting but hated training. He didn't take care of his body and that probably caught up with him.
There was one behind the scenes UFC show that followed him during training, maybe for the second GSP fight. He just jogged around Hilo a little and did one workout where he swam down in the ocean and moved a rock. Moving the rock was tough but he only did it once.

When I was a kid 50 years ago we were on a family vacation in that area. I was running ahead of the group on the trail and without realizing what I was doing jumped over a giant eastern diamondback on the path so until it moved away there was a rattlesnake between me and the rest of my family.

She took part in an ASU recruiting scheme that wound up in violations and there were a bunch of rumors that she was fricking somebody involved.
The way she runs her on life is questionable.

re: Is Brunson better than Luka?
Posted by Diseasefreeforall on 8/17/26 at 6:40 am to The Torch
This will probably be downvoted but I thought. Brunson was the 3rd best Knick during the playoffs after KAT and OG.
Sure, he's the better finisher but games are 4 quarters and KAT and OG shot out of their minds from 3 as well as playing great defense.
Brunson's a great player but Luka is more impactful when he's healthy and motivated.

His mom teamed up with Antonio Pierce to get ASU in trouble with recruiting violations. She was organizing impermissible visits by recruits, paying for it with her credit card and getting cash from Antonio. It got him banned from college sports for 8 years.

The gauntlet where there were 3 defenders stacked on behind each other and as a running back you had to try to get by all 3 without any blocking.

Never mind all the other big wigs facilitating prediction markets

The Trump administration's actions related to prediction markets have played a huge part in them being able to operate in the US.
They were classified as commodities markets so regulated under the CFTC, which seems ridiculous to me, and the feds have even sued state governments that try to classify them as gambling enterprises.
Don Jr getting cushy positions both with Kalshi and Polymarket, which his company invested in, is not a good look given what's gone on.
