I don't think that's true. I watched him in high school. He was big and fast and had the arm to make all the throws so definitely would have been on the radar of SEC and Big Ten schools.

I think Tennessee is too low considering that they only lost to the #1 team by 3 in a game where their starting QB missed some series.
Seems to me that the playoff rankings have had an impact on the polls. In the past a lot more voters would have probably not wanted to move Florida up that far. Rankings will never be perfect but overall there seems to more merit based voting today than in the old days.

It would matter if there were an epidemic of contact injuries to the front of the knee, shattered kneecaps or something like that, but ligament damage happens when the knee moves sideways the wrong way and that accounts for the overwhelming majority of knee injuries.

With the support they have Iowa should be neck and neck with Penn State every year for the team title but the Brands brothers still hold on to their jobs.
